Zarqawi in contact with Bin Laden
Just watched a report on CNN International saying that recent intelligence reports have intercepted phone conversations between Zarqawi and Bin Laden. Bin Laden is asking for support from Zarqawi's organization in global terrorism against the West.

Now this is CNN International and I thought they posed a good question at the end. Instead of saying that Bush was right about links to Al Quaida, they asked whether or not Zarqawi's frustrated and war seasoned fighters would now be willing to join in a global terrorist campaign against the West.

1. Maybe I don't know too much about technology
But, if we know who is calling who, and what they are saying, how come we can't figure out where they are talking from?

Is it really that hard to locate the origination of the phone calls?

And how do they intercept them? Wiretap or wireless communication?

Just a question.

2. Don't know and they didn't expound on the technology involved
I've also been trying to find it on the CNN International web site and can't find one mention of it. I know the news is very different on CNNI than the one I see when I go back home to the states so, maybe there's some censuring of the web sites.

3. The intelligence reports are all crap. They just make up whatever they
think will scare people the most. Al Qaeda is a fraud.

4. Actually, the report seemed to be implying that the war in Iraq
has fueled anti-American sentiment and has now become the recruiting ground for terrorists. I've never seen anything like that before on MSM in the states.

7. What? This has been the standard Democratic critique of the Iraq war
and there is some truth to it. Disgruntled Muslims are ripe for recruiting by terrorist groups. But large terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda are usually false-flag operations controlled by western intelligence agencies.

8. Exactly, which is probably the reason why I can't find the report exerpts
on the easily accessible web site.

6. So, we can intercept those phone calls but can't pinpoint either one?
Pretty damn sad.
