Where Is Dean?
I just read another thread on DU that questions Howard Dean's integrity, and yet, despite the lack of any story, Howard Dean is suspiciously quiet.

Is this what we want in the DNC Chair? A man who can't even defend himself against ridiculous accusations?

I think we need to ask ourselves: Where IS Howard Dean?

Really. Right now. At 10:30 pm mountain. Tuesday evening. Where the hell is he?

15. There's something terribly wrong, when people have to guess
about something as crucial as the whereabouts of the DNC chair.

If we don't know where Dean is - RIGHT NOW - who does? who is better informed about everything Democratic than DU?

No way.

Dean has better things to do--IF we can even figure out where the hell he is!

Is he in the South, is he in bed, or is he in "Mississippi?"

Important questions, but Dean's not answering.

Pathetic, really...

Eventually one of you bright people will get it.

But not if Howard Dean gets his way....the man just can't be trusted.

Why isn't he speaking up? Right-wing nut jobs conrtol the media, but does Howard Dean stop them? NO!

1)He can't control the Republicans
2)No one knows where he is
3)The whole freaking sky is falling, but Dean is silent.

I rest my case.

21. POSTED FROM JACKSON, MS
It was quite disappointing. No I'm not a registered Democrat and never will register for a party. However I lean more towards the Left and went hoping to be inspired. I was not. It seemed Dean stressed that the Democratic party was all about empathy and compassion. I guess I feel I belong more on the 'fighting side' of the Left and it felt he was talking past me.

There is a wing of the Left that is just as cut-throat as the Republicans...but the ends are different. I want to support the necessary unemployed in our system but don't want to do it out of compassion...call me cynical but I don't think I am - I think it is the Just (Equitable) thing to do.

I was disappointed but one man is not an idea.

He doesn't bother anymore either.

He's always being too compassionate and too angry and bitter.

And everytime he opens his mouth, he says something nice about Republicans, like they're evil and such.

The guys is just too predictable, unless you're trying to predict where he is tonight.

And nobody knows, do they?

44. ok. I've had enough of this...
I'm getting the idea that some people might need a new hobby. There's nothing wrong with Dean. You don't NEED to know where he is right now. For all you know he could be working with stratagists, could be spending a day with his family...(God forbid.. *gasp*), could be in UNRECORDED meetings with someone discussing the very issues you feel he should be. The truth is...we don't know... and that means theres probably a reason for it... lest we forget... the media is right-wing. If he's not getting air time. He's probably doing something good for the party... but the truth is... we don't know. You all feel like slamming members of our own party without any factual information just because you don't like the guy for whatever reasons. No wonder the Democratic Party is in shambles... when people in your own party can't even support thier representatives, with allies like that, who needs Republicans! Dean is not God, he is not a prophet, he's not Nostradamus, and he's not the President! He himself is not this parties saviour. He himself will not be able to single-handedly overcome the Republican machine. He is just a peice in the puzzle, like you... like me. He IS the Chairman for our parties National Commitee. He needs our support and we need his if we plan on going anywhere, anytime soon. One way or the other, he's better than Bush or any other Republican. So stop the Dean bashing and stop supporting the Repug agenda by tearing down your own party!!!! Or would require too much uncommon sense for some of you to understand!?!

It's like he thought he was at a rally or something.

Just like Dean, always trying to play to Democrats and ignore the Republicans.

Well, we've ignored the Republicans and their talking points long enough, damn it!

I want my DNC chair to spend 24/7 responding to EVERY Republican!

Not a damn one opens his or her mouth without Dean being right there with a mundane follow up!

How are we supposed to frame the debate if we don't respond to every FREAKING DIVERSION!
