Bush = Hitler?
Edited on Thu Feb-24-05 01:41 PM by reichstag911
As you might deduce from my handle, the parallels -- on which I've commented to friends/Repugs/anyone-else-who'll-listen since 9/11 -- are extensive and frightening for America and the rest of the world. (Yes, George, there are other countries with their own interests out there beyond America's porous borders.) It comes down to the old question, Cui bono?; Who benefits? Clearly, no one has benefited from the events of 9/11 like this criminal administration and their corporate cronies. Anyway, it's a long piece, but well worth the read...

2. I guess such comparisons may have their place. . .
but can you detail what, if any, differences there are between 21st century America and the Hitlerian Reich? In other words, what hope have we that a better outcome can be expected? Or, put another way, why get up in the morning?

4. [W]hy get up in the morning?
Tough one. Given the monopolistic/oligarchic control of the MSM, I despair of any real reform or improvement happening via our traditional "democratic" electoral process. Without honest, intelligent information and commentary being disseminated to the majority of the "sheeple," it seems that only some truly cataclysmic episode(s) will wake people up to the fraudulence of our current system: Government of the sheeple, by the corrupt and inept, for their trust funds.

My guess is it will be economic disaster that finally bitch-slaps the people in the red states sufficiently to realize they've been the unwitting electoral soldiers in a class war being waged against their own economic interests, putatively on the chimera of moral values. Once the rest of the world stops using the dollar as a benchmark currency and stops buying it -- as they've begun to do -- the US is fucked.

5. Here's proof of a parallel:
And I love passing on this one!

The Bush Cabal and former G.O.P. Administrations etc. (read into the links in depth) are/were members of a secret society called Bohemian Grove, offshoot of the "Skull and Bones" connection.

This is not a joke.

Many corporate bigwigs are also involved:

Scary, and frankly this doesn't look very "Christian" (as Bushitler claims he is) to me. The parallels are frightening.

7. Add a couple chins to each of the attendees,...
...slap sport coats on 'em, plus glazed looks in their eyes, and it IS a Bush/Rove Town Hall meeting!

8. we are of like minds, and have been
He came to power in exactly the same way. The funny thing was when someone over there on the right compared Kerry to Hitler! I thought that was pretty amusing.

I think that a lot of them are really psychologically naive, don't know anything about themselves, you know, that they do an incredible amount of projection. That's why we're so "evil", you know, gee whiz, we sin so much! We're so depraved and evil, all that jazz, while they are out there with their lovers and their underage pornography and corrupt money deals...

Some of them are just outright dishonest, I guess, but I think some of them do a lot of projection. Well, come to think of it, I guess if you're dishonest, you can project that too. So that makes us awfully dishonest (in their eyes)!

Everything they accuse us of is precisely what they are doing, in spades. To the absurdity of comparing Kerry to Hitler, while they're all hailing the fuhrer of the homeland!

9. The first person to compare Bush to Hitler was Karl Rove.
Of course Rove did it in an admiring and complimentary way.

From Drudge, excerpting from Woodward's book "Bush At War:

ROVE THOUGHT POST-9/11 WORLD SERIES GAME LIKE NAZI RALLY

"The president emerged wearing a New York Fire Department windbreaker. He raised his arm and gave a thumbs-up to the crowd on the third base side of the field. Probably 15,000 fans threw their arms in the air imitating the motion.

He then threw a strike from the rubber, and the stadium erupted. Watching from owner George Steinbrenner’s box, Karl Rove thought, It’s like being at a Nazi rally." (p. 277)
