a view from the Right on Hiliary and the Dems

"She will be better positioned than just about anybody in her party" in a general election, Rasmussen predicted — and then wondered aloud whether that means "she may have a harder time getting nominated."

Op/Ed - New York Post

DEMS' FOREIGN-POLICY SILENCE DEAFENING

Thu Feb 24, 3:27 AM ET

Op

BY DEBORAH ORIN INSIDE WASHINGTON

FUNNY how Democrats seem to be struck dumb by the success of President Bush (news - web sites)'s trip to Europe.

• Check out NYPOST.COM for the best headlines every day!
• NYPost Gossip: PageSix, Cindy Adams, and Liz Smith ... the ultimate source for those with a burning desire to know the inside scoop!
• NYPOST.COM gives you a backstage pass to all the hottest entertainment.

The central tenets of Democratic foreign policy are now falling like dominoes. Dems such as Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) predicted Iraq (news - web sites)'s election would be a disaster. Instead, it was a triumph and sparked a yearning for freedom elsewhere in the Mideast.

Dems blamed Bush for the lack of progress toward Israeli-Palestinian peace, but it now seems that Bush's strategy was right: wait until Yasser Arafat (news - web sites) was gone and let Israel build its wall.

Kerry & Co. portrayed the United Nations (news - web sites) as morally superior to Bush, but now the various U.N. scandals, from the oil-for-food scandal to accusations of rape by U.N. peacekeepers, make a mockery of that idea........

2. What was that about elections?
"Allawi lines up secular coalition in effort to retain power

Iraq's interim Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, has stepped up his effort to remain in office by announcing the formation of a secular coalition that he and his supporters say will outmanoeuvre Shiite religious parties as a new transitional government is formed.

The move on Wednesday came a day after the Shiite alliance that won a bare majority in last month's elections named one of its leaders, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, as its candidate for prime minister."

6. Well
I don't know about the ads for the Post in the middle there, but keeping an eye on what the opposition is saying can keep our arguments sharp and to the point.

4. Orin missed Kerry's 2 week swing meeting with world leaders, I guess.
He told the WH he'd like to meet to discuss what was covered in those meetings and they ignored him, proving they have NO INTEREST in the concerns of other nations. Kerry even went to Syria, yet the WH doesn't want to hear what was said? These people are running our country?

Bush's swing thru is just a show of bravado, as if he's not afraid of meeting with other leaders the way Kerry did so successfully and WITHOUT 10,000 security guards protecting him from protestors. In fact, the crowds rushed Kerry with CHEERS and RESPECT.

Orin is pushing Hillary. Funny how she targets Kerry with her derisive remarks (not exactly reporting).... she must think he's still in the way and needs to be disposed of first.

I see that I can get all items pertaining to this "Yasser Arafat" character if I so choose.
