Could someone summarize the top three news stories of the week?
It seems that if they cannot dazzle them with brilliance, they will baffle them with bullshit. I know the Gannon story has been getting a lot of play, and understandably so, it has all the prerequisites for a big story - sex, power, intrigue. But, what other stories might we be overlooking as we are blinded by this dazzling story? Syria? Iran? Bush's foreign trip? Elections in Iraq? Social Security?

2. 1. Bush camp caught in massive security breach
with gay prostitute turned press room propagandists outed on all fronts.

2. Bush camp social security deconstruction fails to win public support despite massive disinformation and propganda campaign.

3. Situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate after the elections, with all contenders jockeying for position in a new government. Civil war becoming harder to avoid.

5. I know what ya mean!!
While we are looking at all Gannon all the time what kinda criminal stuff is the WH hatching.

The assassination of the Lebanese leader. (Do we really think Syria is responsible or was it someother "3rd party"? Israel or the US)

Social Security Town Halls vs the Bush offensive.

Iraq - more bombing, fatalities - is this winning?

Yes Gannon is mportant, but I fear we're being bamboozled once again, thinking this will bring on Watergate 2005. Not bloody likely, since it is a GOP Congress, and they have shown they will not investigate their own mess.

I am afraid fascism has snuck in the backdoor, and I sit here expecting a knock on my door by brownshirts in my near future.
