"Re: Jeff Gannon / James Guckert: a gay prostitute
I can't believe the family-focused groups aren't up in arms about this! Or is it OK because Bush is Republican too?

Appalling."

1. I'm getting the impression these are the few left of "our fathers"
conservatives. You know, the ones that most every THINKING person can respect. It's the Neo-Con "true believers" who are the dangerous ones for obvious reasons.

2. One poster's take I hadn't considered
"Don't you guys get it??? Jeff Ganon is the White House fall guy for the leaked CIA Valerie Plume outing. They (White House) knew that if/once the leak was attributed to him that he might then point fingers at White House officials if cornered. In that case, he is easily discredited with his past.

Nobody will believe him because he lied aboout everything. White House officials are safe from the Valierie Plume incident."

10. That was a very perceptive comment. However,
we can look at it this way: Suppose Jimmy-Jeff sings, and reveals WHO in the administration outed Valerie Plame. Repukes immediately scream, "You can't believe anything he says! He's a fake reporter and also a male prostitute!"

I would respond, "Well, YOU GUYS believed him for TWO WHOLE YEARS. Either you repukes believed he was a real reporter--or you repukes knew he was false and in fact took part in his deception by creating Talon News and planting your "reporter" in the WH press corps." Which explanation do you prefer, repukes?

14. Can't be the fall guy - no more than Novak can be the fall guy
The crime is that someone inside the White House leaked the Plame info to the press.

Guck/Gannon is obstensibly the press that was leaked to by the White House.

3. Geez, I'd forgotten about THIS little tidbit..................
It seems some of them think it's the Pretzelnit that has gay tendencies, to wit;

Mr. Bush wandered over during Mr. Reid's chat with the Prime Minister. Mr. Reid introduced himself and shook hands with Mr. Bush.

"Well, what do you do for this guy?" the President asked as he pointed to the Prime Minister.

"Well, you know, sir, I can't really say," Mr. Reid said. "It's not that I don't want to. It's just that, you know, I don't really know from day to day."

This is true. Mr. Reid handles a number of files and performs a number of different duties, depending on the issue and the day.

The President chuckled. "Well, you got a pretty face," he told the surprised Mr. Reid. He wasn't done. "You got a pretty face," he said again. "You're a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott anyway."

This is true. His Scott has a receding hairline and is on the chubby side, while Mr. Martin's Scott has a full head of hair and is quite fit.

For the first time in his life, Mr. Reid had no reply. "I didn't know what to say," said Mr. Reid, noting later that he wished that Mr. Bush had referred to him as a "rugged-looking young man or something.

Is the chimp in the White House closet?

Stay tuned!

8. the conservatives are opening their eyes! Thanks, Gucky!
It's interesting that after the iraq war, after the mounting debt, after all the other outrages this administration has committed, Gucket is what finally gets the conservatives pissed off!

on edit: In browsing that site, a guy who calls himself a Republican linked this site: http://inthearena.bravehost.com/index.html

Is it just me, or does this guy have more in common with moderate Democrats than any Republicans?

11. It's not just you! Don't you realize that there are millions of
conservatives who despise the whole repulsive Bush cartel?

I used to be one of them. Then I realized it was conservatism and republicanism that caused these criminals to gain the power they have. So now I don't want anything to do with repukes or even with conservatives. There might be hope for anti-repuke conservatives, but there is no hope for repukes.

..too bad they allow anonymous posting, most credible forums don't allow that anymore because of the trolls.

Re: Jeff Gannon / James Guckert: a gay prostitute
Well, that takes the cake. I can't DO this anymore. I can't support the GOP, I cannot support these so-called conservatives in power, and tomorrow I am switching my party affiliation to independent. It's obvious to me that the lunatics have taken over the asylum. They sold us a menu of "family values" but it is really all about my child in Iraq getting shot, maybe killed, for Halliburton, cheap oil, and profit for the corporate pigs. After thirty years with the party, I turn my back. I am sick, sad, disgusted. I'm starting to think these liberals have a point. That may say more about the state of our government than them, but I'm finished--not one more dime, not one more moment of my time to help a single one of them get elected.
