Who is paying Bobby Eberle?
Where does he get his money?
Subscribers to Talon News do not pay anything.

Feb. 18, 2005,
Though Eberle was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2000, Texas Republican officials this week declined to talk about him and even denied knowing him.
But Eberle — a former aerospace engineer who has never contributed to a political candidate and works out of his $225,000 home in a sprawling Pearland subdivision of new, color-coordinated burgundy and beige brick houses — finds himself a key player in a tawdry scandal that has captivated Washington.
<snip>
Eberle said Talon merits White House credentials because of its large number of readers (he claims 500,000 unpaid subscribers), its regular publishing schedule and its differentiation between news and opinion journalism.
<snip>
Eberle said his reporters have a range of experience, from those with 10 years of journalism experience to others who simply sent in writing samples.

OK, so his wife is a neurologist,

2. Apparently, a fake company currently owns the Talon website

Man with false credentials gains access to White House
You may be interested to know more about Endeavor Media Group, LLC of Texas. This group is the putative owner of Talon News, the organization represented in the White House Press Corps by Jeff Gannon.
I just called the Texas Secretary of State to check on the name availability for "Endeavor Communications Group" and spoke with a pleasant fellow at who assured me there is no such LLC, or Inc. registered in the state of Texas.
Apparently, in this day of heightened security individuals with fraudulent affiliations can obtain and routinely use press passes to gain direct personal access to the President of the United States.

Endeavor appears to have been created as the Jeff Gannon story was about to go public.

9. Trust me,
Some of us here know a lot about Flight 77.

Barbara Olson's boss from Regnery also claims to have seen Flight 77 crash into the Pentagon.

James S. Robbins,
National-Security Analyst and National Review contributor,
as well as
Alfred S. Regnery, conservative publisher,
both claim to have seen a plane divebomb its way into the Pentagon.

15. Didn't John Kerry
also claim to see Flight 77 before it hit the Pentagon?

Small world, how many key people saw a plane that no surveillance cameras around the Pentagon could get a good picture of?

4. Where's the money ? Try this on for size, DoD's missing $2.3Trillion
www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/ 01/29/eveningnews/main325985.shtml

Black ops, especially of the domestic variety, can be hidden easily under DoD's accounts. Congress has a harder time with OIG there too. The CIA's budget is more under 'oversight' with the intel committees of congress, but those committees (and the military's) have already had their staffs infiltrated with intelligence or 'former' intelligence personnel.

5. I thought the point of Talon
was to recruit paid subscribers who would "buy reports"?

So how many "reports" has Talon sold? For how much?

Follow the money is right.

PS: Maybe that house is expensive in Texas, but in New York it would be a tarpaper shack.

8. Richard Rainwater?
Just a thought

Richard E. Rainwater, the mastermind of it all, the guy who allowed George W. to buy into the Rangers in the first place. Rainwater, rated by Fortune magazine as one of the 400 richest men in America, is the sorcerer who devised the investment strategy that elevated the Bass family from millionaires in the 1970s to billionaires in the 1990s. He probably owns the U.S. Treasury. And yet Texans are paying a sales tax to make him richer? Unbelievable."

http://www.bushfiles.com/bushfiles/fertilize_bushes.html

For more than a decade, George W. Bush - the sitting Texas governor, son of the ex-president, and possibly the Republican nominee for president in 2000 - has not made a move without consulting The Man … and I don't mean his father.

Down here in Texas we call him Shrub, as in little bush, and a shrub needs watering to grow up, right? So, in steps a man by the name of - we kid you not - Richard Rainwater. The national media has yet to probe into Bush's business dealings, but if and when they do, they'll find this man Rainwater. He's a billionaire speculator and money manager who ranks among the wealthiest 100 Americans. It's well known that Rainwater has been a major financial backer of Bush's political career, but it's a little-known fact that he's also largely responsible for Bush's personal wealth.

...

Bush is nothing if not loyal to Rainwater, who has done very nicely while his pal has been governor. Among the favors Rainwater has enjoyed:

State buildings sold to Rainwater's real estate company at bargain basement rates;

State college and public school funds invested in Rainwater's company;

A Bush-sponsored tax cut that failed, but would have cut millions in annual taxes for Rainwater; and

A stadium-financing bill backed by Bush that gave a $10 million bonus payment to a Rainwater company.

http://victorian.fortunecity.com/brambles/499/Bush/Rainwater/rainwater.html

America's President-elect, George W. Bush, held an investment in a company that leased a chain of psychiatric hospitals where patients died and the conditions were so appalling that many were shut down, The Observer reveals today.

The hospital chain - Charter Behavioral Health Systems - was exposed by a CBS television documentary last year after the deaths were reported. CBS had filmed widespread malpractices, acknowledged by government regulators. This led to a criminal investigation of Charter, which continues.

...

The Charter connection leads to the heart of Bush's business network in Texas. Crescent was founded by his closest business partner and the man who made him rich: genius investor and Texas billionaire Richard Rainwater. Rainwater was the major investor with whom Bush bought into the Texas Rangers baseball team in 1989 during his father's presidency. The investment was the source of Bush's biggest windfall and his folk hero status in Texas. He sold the baseball stock for a profit of $14.9 million, and Rainwater became part of the Bush circle.

Rose is the founder and president of Cardinal Investments, which he now operates with his Pioneer partner Marshall Payne. The company has major stakes in Ace Cash Express (which cashes checks for the working poor for up to 6 percent of face value) and aviation and defense electronics firm Sierra Technologies. Rose was Cardinal’s sole owner in ’86, when he participated in a sneaky deal with one of Bush’s biggest donors. Richard Rainwater, an ex-investment advisor to the oil-rich family of Pioneer Lee Bass, arranged to borrow $300 million at high interest rates to buy Darling-Delaware Co. and other animal-fat rendering companies. Darling-Delaware had been a profitable, tax-paying company. After the takeover it was swamped with huge debt payments. Meanwhile, its new owners rewarded themselves with $180 million in “special dividends.” Suddenly, the company was operating at a loss. It stopped paying taxes and even collected a multi-million-dollar refund from the U.S. Treasury. Taxpayers got bilked while Rainwater, Rose and their cronies divvied up the $180 million in “special-dividend” fat.

13. Eberle said he saw AA 77 crash into Pentagon on 9/11. Is he lying?
"Eberle said his interest was further heightened when, during a trip to Washington, he witnessed American Airlines Flight 77 crash into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001."

I am betting he is lying. It is too convenient. Quite a coincidence that somebody from Texas would be in a position to see the attack on the Pentagon on a weekday morning. Drove by after the fact and saw the carnage - yeah. But he says he "witnessed the attack."

17. Could it be he is just independently wealthy?
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 02:48 PM by intheflow
I mean, look at Bush--his family has been rolling in wealth for well over a century. They obviously have more money than God, and could easily bankroll an online media "service" independent of any other contributors.
