blood on their hands... Why to fight the draft..

If even half of this is true, the US is damned ...

Warning, graphic photos of death.

Fallujah: the truth at last

Doctor Salam Ismael took aid to Fallujah last month
this is his story of how the US murdered a city

IT WAS the smell that first hit me, a smell that is difficult
to describe, and one that will never leave me.
It was the smell of death.
Hundreds of corpses were decomposing in the houses,
gardens and streets of Fallujah.

Bodies were rotting where they had fallen bodies of men,
women and children, many half-eaten by wild dogs.

A wave of hate had wiped out two-thirds of the town,
destroying houses and mosques, schools and clinics.
This was the terrible and frightening power of the US military assault.

and then follow this story next:

Eyewitness in Fallujah

Dr Salam Ismael, now 28 years old, was head of junior doctors in Baghdad before the invasion of Iraq. He was in Fallujah in April 2004 where he treated casualties of the assault on the city.

At the end of 2004 he came to Britain to collect funds for an aid convoy to Fallujah. Now the British government does not want Dr Salam Ismael’s testimony to be heard.

He was due to come here last week to speak at trade union and anti-war meetings. But he was refused entry. The reason given was that he received expenses, covering the basic costs of his trip, when he came to Britain last year and this constitutes “illegal working”.

3. These photos should be
REQUIRED VIEWING for every American citizen of draft age and above. Those who voted for Bush should indeed have these photos plastered onto the walls of their homes. If the cause is so honorable, then we shouldn't have any trouble seeing the fruits of our tax dollars and of our soldiers' blood. Why must such images be hidden? My goodness, we aren't ASHAMED, are we??

Maybe I'm the one who's afraid: I have a terrible fear that if we showed these images to the American public, they wouldn't give any more of a shit than they give today because "those people" somehow deserved it and it's better to "fight them over there" 'n stuff.

I'm amazed at what my country has become in such a short time. Or perhaps we've always been this way at heart, and I'm only just now getting a good look at what my country really is.

4. And I'm afraid this is only a beginning of what's in store for the world,
for all of us... I'm torn between hate and tears. And the man responsible for it all will be welcomed - welcomed! - by my chancellor next week. And the whole region where * visits will be shut down. No cars, no ships, no planes, no kindergarten, no gym, no garbage desposal. I wonder how to even GET there to demonstrate. But we'll damn sure try.

Never, ever ever forget Fallujah.
