I think we should perpetually bring up examples of how Reagan and Bush 41 fucked up the economy and blame that on all of our problems of today.

Just as Conservatives used 9/11 as an "out" for any of there pre 9/11 positions, the position of Democrats in the late 90's on Social were based on HUGE BUDGET SURPLUSES - not the budget quagmire Bush had let us into since taking office.
