Things Migh be Getting Worse
I just read a story in the USA Today about the FDA. Although the FDA will get an overall increase of about 4.5% some programs will be cut. For instance, the number of inspections done by the FDA will be decreased. The number of foreign drug plants inspections will decrease from about 515 to about 485. The number of domestic inspections will be decreased from about 1400+ to about 1345.

That's a really bad idea. This Lester Crawford dude came from UGA. He was in the Vet and Pharmacy schools. According to my friend who was a vet professor, he is a political hack of the worst kind and a crappy scientist to boot.

edit: Crawford is the new FDA head.
