Actually, not!!! Why so quiet, Keith? I know Deep Throat is an interesting, thoroughly contemporary topic, ever so relevant to the current moment, but really, you might spend a paragraph or two on the current scandal around the White House, donchya think?

He is the first to mention explicit photos that i am aware of.

KO didnt say anything about homosexuality that i remember hearing though.

3. I was a bit disappointed myself. Did mention it during Oddball segment!

I'll reserve judgment until tomorrow. He generally doesn't shy away from this sort of thing...last week he said "Mangate-the gift that keeps on giving"-he was on it! We'll see...

4. Why wouldn't he mention it? The other night he referred to it as the

story that "just keeps giving"....you'd think that he'd be all over this one....

I was surprised and disappointed to not hear him talk about this story....maybe tommorrow night...

It also occurs to me that maybe many of the news media is worried of being caught in a "Dan Rather" moment if somehow this story proved a sham...I suspect they are waiting for things to be proven and get solid legs...

5. This is how it should run

1) White House Gay Sex Scandal - Tabloids/National Enquirer

Should be fun - Could get some interesting Rethuglican scalps.

2) White House Media Manipulation/Propaganda - Some investigative tv show or Seymour Hersch type investigative reporter

Discredit White House - Just a bunch of liars! We don't believe anything you say AWOL Chimp. Could put a spoke in the NEO Crazies world war plans

3) Best of all - Plame case and treasonous behaviour

Key US assets have died because of this outing. Plame was Americas best undercover agent in the shady and dangerous world of nuclear weapons technology black market. To out her in an effort to discredit her husband because he had potentially put a spanner in the spokes in "The Bush Gangs" desperate effort to invade Iraq is just out and out treason. This could go all the way to at least Rove, and if were lucky, maybe the AWOL Chimp himself. If Lewinsky can get Clinton impeached then this should be the death penalty in the good ol USA.

10. You've got that right

If no one has noticed since the anthrax attack the Nat'l Enquirer rarely even mentions Bush or the first family.

Before all this happened I met a fellow who works for NE and did a lot of the 'investigative' reporting about Clinton. He was very proud of the fact that they were doing what he claimed was real investigative journalism.

I ran into him recently and when Bob Stevens name came up he claimed that Stevens did not take the picture of Jenna dirty dancing at the bar and then he got away from me as fast as he could. I have rarely seen such fear in a man's eyes.

11. I think he may need to vet the web developer guy

to make sure he isn't another Bill Burkett. He's the main source of the details about Guckert's past, he supplied the photos, etc...

It's weird, but this whole thing almost seems too easy. I'd be careful too if I were Keith. But I hope he can get the validation he needs, report the new details, and ask all the pertinent questions.
