Tax season is upon us and many of us are collecting receipts, printing forms and getting ready. This year, I have a special feature on my website to help Californians with their tax preparation. You will be able to reach this feature from my homepage at http://boxer.senate.gov

At my Help During Tax Season web page, you will find links to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Franchise Tax Board (FTB) websites where you can find tax forms, instructions and other information. We also have included information and links for military personnel, students and families.

Also available is a link to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
(VITA) program, which offers tax counseling for seniors. VITA offers office hours in communities across the state and helps with individual tax preparation. You will also find a link to the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped which offers forms and assistance to the disabled.

None of us looks forward to tax day, but I think you will find my feature to be of help as you face the April deadline.

YES she's wonderful. Moreso every day. And she just got reelected by a VERY healthy margin, so they have to deal with her for the next six years (hee hee)!

If you're not in California and you love the way Boxer's showing spine, might be a GREAT idea to call your own reps or nearby Dems (or write, or fax, or email) and urge them to be more like her.

3. I'm in California, and I LOVE HER.

I did something I NEVER do...I subscribed to her mailing list. Gotta tell ya, when you see the scope of what she's tackling, it's amazing. The other good thing about her mailing list is that you can check off areas of interest. And YES, she DOES reply when you write to her.

I have a struggle coming to grips with a politician who actually got into the game to make a positive impact in the lives of their constituents, but this woman is THE REAL DEAL.
