Has Monsieur Bush already spent his political "capital" ?
Remember right after the election he said he had won a lot of political capital and he was going to spend it? Well, the latest approval ratings have him well under 50%. Has he already spent his "capital" on his ill-advised and unprepared attacks on Social Security and other misadventures? And would his ratings be even lower if not for the elections in Iraq? How long before his ratings will be in a deficit just like the rest of his government?

1. What he is spending is everyone else's money.
That's where his approval rating went. :P

4. he "spent" his "capital" on his thigh as soon as he got Lady Liberty
undressed. Now he is on the edge of the bed, saying how this never happens, and hoping she don't run away before he can get his "capital" up again.

5. The election in Iraq
is a classic example of the Orwellian power of the MSM.

In reality, here's what we know about that election on Jan. 30:

The results have been delayed to "recount" 30 ballot boxes or some such excuse.

No one actually knows the percentage turnout to this day.

We do now know that if the election results are not manipulated and are allowed to stand, most likely the Sistani faction will win overwhelmingly, thus assuring Iraq of a Shiite government with closer links to Iran.

The bombings and casualties intensified after the election. An American soldier or two still gets picked off every day. And usually dozens of Iraqi puppets bite the dust. Nothing has changed at all.

They polished that election turd and served it up to the American people, who dined on it as if it were filet mignon. It was scary to watch how easily and completely the public can be deluded, especially if it very much wanted to be deluded.

10. That's 300 ballot boxes, actually. If Allawi does better in recount...
integrity of results will be suspect, though Bushies think they can get away with anything. Certainly with our media, that is pretty much a given.

8. Well in Bushzarro world, where up is down, stupid is smart,
and drunken sailors in whore houses are fiscally responsible, a 56% disapproval rating is actually an overwhelming endorsement to continue your radical policies.
