2. If there is one MSM person I trust besides Lou Dobbs, it's Aaron Brown
Edited on Fri Feb-11-05 01:24 AM by proudbluestater
He has done a pretty good job, swimming upstream as it were.

Do you ever watch Lou Dobbs? He had Debbie Stabenow from Michigan on the other night. Lou seems to key in on what we're talking about here that the other news shows seem to ignore. He's a good egg. Aaron usually is too, though sometimes he can let you down.

6. I don't know, I see Aaron a bit differently than the people in that link
I think he throws out weak arguments just so the guest THAT HE CHOSE to be on can get in the important stuff, then HE isn't held accountable by his bosses. I have seen him do this quite often, and he doesn't speak over the guests responses to try and cut them off. He manages to get the information out without compromising his job or his venue for getting the information out...

23. Well, I mentioned Devil's Advocate questions in the other thread...
...and he didn't have any right-wingers on to interrupt. So, I hope your reading of him is correct. Hard to tell.

He certainly doesn't tow the big business line.

14. Now, Blitzer really is a whore, I did write him and told him I'm sorry
that a long distinguished career comes to a dismal end as a shill.

7. he did a good job because he let his guests
do the talking. Salon and AmericaBlog guests did a GREAT job. I'd forgotten about Sarah McClellan(sp?)having been kicked out for 3 months -- sorry I don't have the name right because I LOVE that reporter. The point was made that the WH has everything controlled, and they hit the Valerie Plame thing a couple of times.

15. Anyone been to talonnews.com?
In two clicks, you're at MensNewsDaily, then at Poker Babes.

Someone tell me how this guy spent two years, a day at a time, getting into that room and NO ONE ACTUALLY CHECKED THE SITE?

17. Sure. I'm good at text analysis. I'd like to find his corpus delecti
and run eyes over it. You know, I used to run a big list. I could spot the same banned person coming back under a different name in less than 250 words.

Maybe I can put this skill to some good use :)

and succinct (he isn't a good writer), and it seems amazing to me that Scotty always had a ready answer...(he's not very good at that)

22. I saw Aaron Brown mention the Bush Cocaine thing once ....
I saw Aaron Brown mention the Bush Cocaine thing once .... well he didn't go into details but he was enraged about something - perhaps the attempt to shut the 9/11 Commission being down 'early' a few years ago ... and he said something to the effect:

"If you were a journalist and you had proof that a certain policitian running in a certain high level national race had committed multiple felonies related to drug abuse, would it be your duty to report it?". or something like that

A shot across the bow if ever I've seen one.
