Dean pokes fun at himself after a meeting with Pelosi and Reid today. Nice article from The Hill.

Laura Gross, Dean's spokeswoman, said that today's meeting was only the beginning.

"The meeting that took place today was productive and is the first of many that Gov. Dean will have on a regular basis with Sen. Reid and Leader Pelosi," Gross said.

As lawmakers and tourists congratulated the onetime presidential aspirant on his presumptive victory, Dean took the opportunity to poke a little fun at himself.

"Last time everyone congratulated me it was three days before Iowa," he told a group of visitors."

1. what has impressed me with Dean is that he has never seemed
bitter about not being the nominee even though through 2003 it seemed inevitable.

4. You are right....his ego and bitterness are non-existent.
He sees what needs to be done and does not allow personal feelings to get in the way.

2. See? I have the feeling Dean can handle with ease anything that's gonna
be thrown at him. He's smart and has enough confidence in himself that he can joke about himself. He is okay by me.

3. He was great at the rally last night
Could hardly hear him for the applause & cheers. Over 1200 people showed up - many couldn't even get in the building.

since she came out for someone else for DNC Chair?

11. It was Roemer, zidzi.
Her effort to derail Dean AND Frost. Worked to Dean's benefit in the long run because it crippled Frost.

So Miss Nancy overplayed her hand..and we got Dean. Thanks, Nancy for your meddling and for wanting the ilk of roemer.
