"...according to a previously undisclosed report from...
... the 9/11 commission"? Helloooooo! Why did the 9-11 commission wait until now to disclose this? It's the headline story in today's NYT. It should have been headlines 12 months ago....

9/11 Report Cites Many Warnings About Hijackings
By ERIC LICHTBLAU

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 - In the months before the Sept. 11 attacks, federal aviation officials reviewed dozens of intelligence reports that warned about Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, some of which specifically discussed airline hijackings and suicide operations, according to a previously undisclosed report from the 9/11 commission.

But aviation officials were "lulled into a false sense of security," and "intelligence that indicated a real and growing threat leading up to 9/11 did not stimulate significant increases in security procedures," the commission report concluded.

The report discloses that the Federal Aviation Administration, despite being focused on risks of hijackings overseas, warned airports in the spring of 2001 that if "the intent of the hijacker is not to exchange hostages for prisoners, but to commit suicide in a spectacular explosion, a domestic hijacking would probably be preferable." <more>

7. I was always suspicious of Bush heading off to the Ranch
for the entire month of August--not even a year after grabbing the Whitehouse. I can recall watching an interview with him at the time and discussing with someone that something was up - he was cowering and hiding from something.

After all, it wasn't the first time they targeted the WTC.

Unfortunately, this news will be buried, or contradicted by propaganda- like things hidden on the financial page clashing what is promoted on the editorial page.

9. The Bushbots want to celebrate this man's "leadership," yet he
"leads" the most incredibly, unbelievably INCOMPETENT administration history has known.

Forget the nasty, clever names. Just repeat the word "incompetent" every chance you get when discussing this adminisrtration or anyone in it.

Nothing will take the polish off of Bush like his being thought of as incompetent. Nothing.

And he's the "incompetent" leader.
