Report FOX to the FCC for Superbowl Ciallis advertisement
After watching the ad, my 2 year old daughter was running around the room singing, "Erection! Erection! Erection!"

This stuff should not be allowed on television.

2. Boy, is that a great idea!
I get so riled at their 'holier than thou' attitudes, but boy, there's nothing wrong with the prospects of a big old boner, coming soon to a bedroom near you if you buy this drug! Seems there's no outrage there, but God forbid we see a boob!

9. I heard the blivet has plenty lying around!
Seriously, shouldn't this be something for a doctor and patient, and confidentiality? I'm all for erections, but I really don't want to know about anyone else's sex life, especially strangers!

12. It Encourages Men To Discuss Their Impotence With Their Doctor...
There is still a stigma attached to impotence...

13. OK, I imagine they're now encouraged.
Between Cialis, Viagra, and others out there, I have seen similar commercials thousands and thousands of times by now. Enough already!

6. What if Mr. Johnson isn't showing up for work? (Heard that
on Everybody Loves Raymond and thought it was funny.

Seriously, I agree with you. No boobs but let every kid in America learn about lasting erections.

BUT remember that Cialis is a DRUG,

DRUG companies sponsor Republicans

Therefore, drug companies are allowed to talk ad nauseum about erections.

7. Need date and time of the ad
I need a date and time for this. I assume the date is February 6. Need a time. You ahve to report your local Fox affiliate as the culprit, too, and use local time.

Everybody should do this.

8. "If your erection lasts for more than 4 hours..."
I do have to laugh at that. (Sorry if anyone has been afflicted with this side effect.)

I'm really offended by these ads but probably no more so than I am for all the prescription drug ads these days. Imagine how much cheaper the drugs would be if the companies didn't pay for advertising! And I'm a fairly intelligent person but I still trust my doctor to prescribe what she things I need. I'm not going to ask her for something by name.

10. I saw part of the superbowl but missed that particular ad, can you tell
me what specifically it said so that I could make an intelligently worded complaint.

I agree with the big deal last year over nothing. FOX of all the places should hang its head in shame for the crap it produces on a regular basis.

When my kids were two I didn't watch anything with them in the room including sports on fox because of their commericials they were and still are either about having sex or blowing someone up.

I'm pretty relaxed about answering questions regarding sex so that has never been the problem, but it is not appropriate for a preschooler to seeing that crap! and it was usually on the NFL breaks!

What happened to United Way ads?

You will find with a two year old there is precious little on the idiot box that is in any way acceptable viewing for them.

Do what we did and turn the thing off. There is so much more to do, your kids will have more interests and hobbies. My kids watch some things now that they are preteens and teens and we have never told them that we "forbid" them to watch anything. We personally just prefer to do other things in the evening.

Anyhow that's an aside but I totally agree with the lack of standards and double standards at Fox.

14. What ticks me off is that there was such a hullabaloo re: condom ads
And there still aren't ads for safe sex on TV but plenty of ads for sex (Viagra, et al.). Condom ads were deemed too controversial because they implied sexual intercourse was imminent. Well, what about all these ED ads? What do they imply?

15. Q: How many who have added to this post and agree with the premis
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 12:26 PM by paineinthearse
...have actually taken the time and made the effort to go to the FCC website and file a complaint?

Be honest.
