My daughter got me on it initially when she gave me my computer, a long while back, and I have never bothered to switch to anything else. I don't consider myself a slave to it, though.Ha I usually ignore what ever is there, but I couldn't ignore the Good Doctor's story.

19. I so dislike AOL

I think they suck as a company. I do have their AOL messenger on my computer but I use yahoo more then anything personally. I just like it better. I remember using them and dial up and it sucked so bad. Give me cable network anyday. Firefox is the best internet surfer too.

However, I read the whole article, and it wasn't particularly anti-Dean. (I've been a serious Dean fan, campaigner, and financial contributor since May, 2003). And, if you consider that the general AOL population is pretty right-wing, a 50/50 split of the vote is not too bad for the man whose completely-produced-by-sound-engineering "scream" was heard 'round the world.

22. AOL smells like rotten ass.

God, they suck. Suck suck suck. And then, to paraphrase Sean Penn in "The Game", when you think they can't suck any more, that's when the sucking really begins.

If I had two weeks I could tell you how badly they hose you. Oh, and their "High Speed" DSL? It's about 1/3 as fast as actual DSL, by my reckoning. What a crock. They make their money off of people who don't know any better.

And, then the fun really begins when you call their 800 number to try to cancel your account.

Watch what happens. No matter what you say, they won't let you do it. Period. They just won't. It is physically impossible to use AO-Hell's "Please Cancel My Account" Phone Number to actually cancel your account. You have to send in your cancellation in writing, which is probably why they have, at last check, scrubbed the address you use to do so from all of their available information.

God, They Suck.
