Remember when Clinton would submit a budget to Congress?

Remember when Clinton would submit a budget to Congress?
At least after '04: it would arrive, and be declared by the Congress to be Dead on Arrival. Congress then proceeded to craft its own budget from scratch.

Too bad that doesn't happen now. You would think that spending bills start in the White House instead of (as the Constitution requires), in the House. But then, the House is pretty much a rubber stamp for Bush these days, unless they want to go even further to the right.

The good old days weren't so good, and weren't so long ago, but they sure look good compared with this fiasco of a federal government that we have now.

5. You are so wrong.
The democrat congress wasnt always a rubber stamp for democrat presidents. Remember Jimmy Carter? he had a very tough time with congress because they (ted kennedy)thought Carter was to moderate and not liberal enough.
