1. Once again the nations media elite protects Bush
The mainstream press in this country simply isn't doing their jobs when it comes to Bush. If it had been Clinton or some other Democrat nobody could tell me the media wouldn't have been all over it.

5. I think they just never had enough
Sure, this scientist is highly credentialed, but essentially he was just looking at the same photos we all saw. Yes, everyone knew there was a lump, it was discussed all over the press at the time. What would have gotten this story in the paper was a source that said he saw Bush being wired, or saw someone actually feeding him answers. They didn't have that.

8. OK, I've upgraded my personal assessment on this to 70/30
I would give this story a 70% chance of being true.

That's up 10% from two days ago.

13. what I don't get, newsguy
is why Kerry's guys didn't anticipate that he'd be wired and didn't get a capability in place to jam the signal. Oooh, but transmitters are illegal!!! Well, too friggin bad. What's the frequency, Kenneth?

14. Why would Kerry & el do anything
Even with the wiring, Bush looked like a fool and was hopeless in the first debate. How could he have done worse?

Also, if it wasn't a wire - doing anything could backfire because people were apparently far more willing to believe something negative about Kerry than about Bush. (Which must have been mystifying to the Kerry camp that the frat boy who broke almost any rule was always given the benefit of the doubt while Kerry who probably would have been labeled a "goodie-good" kid was not.)

Well...
What's the difference between that and reading out a speech already written? It's all fake.

Actually, I thought Bush sounded too stupid in those debates. I was surprised to see people actually falling for his BS. Couldn't somebody helping him out do better than that?

16. Don't you love the fucking irony?
Here we have in the other thread some media type jerkoff (Imus) who claimed to support Kerry and is calling Kerry the phony.

If you don't think we are under the biggest mind fuck game (aka propaganda..but I like to spell it out in easy words for the lurking Repukes) since EVER then you really aren't paying attention.

Bush has never been honest about a damn thing in his life. And who holds him to account? Nobody. Started with a daddy that let him get away with everything and continues to our loving media to this day.
