6. Hugh Hewitt said it
He said a CNN rep said it at Davos and that it was being picked up in the press, was in the WT today and would be in the Post soon. Hewitt is the awful Bush apologist who wrote Blog.

10. may be or may not be
I will wait for the truth. because we know by now that most times you don't get the truth. how can you be so sure in your assumption that it isn't true.

would you agree that the admin like to control the media. over here you can't kill em so you buy them off. But in Iraq you may be able to get away with killing them, it could be seen as an accident.

Although, I don't know if it is true or not, i am not willing to make a judgement either way right now.

I have so many doubts about this administration that scarily this seems like it may have some truth in it. Sorry, that is what the bushies get with me, total suspicion.

Altho, I am open to the idea it may not be true. I am not totally closed to the idea it may be true.

15. I think you will be surprised at the numbers.
Remember all the "accidental" missile hits the US made on both our independent journalists and international journalists in the first 6 months of the invasion? Remeber the strikes at the hotel they were staying at?

Interesting how much Freeper response there is to this one....this is very old news.

16. Yes, Leesa
Actually, I was just googling and re reading a lot of the stories. Mostly internet reporting. I remember a hotel being bombed with some journalists, but the story lasted a day or two. There are literally thousands of internet stories written regarding the reuters and palestine hotel bombing and more. They are dated between 2003 and 2004.

Very strange this is coming up again now. Why are they fighting it so hard.

some guy at a consortium says something and the freeps are all over it like white on rice.

We may not even had noticed if it weren't for them.

Maybe another trap?? Or is there more meat to the story.

Who the f*ck knows??

19. targeting journalists
Hmmmm. In fact I can't figure out if this thread is shocked that CNN exec would say this in a public forum, or if people are shocked because they think the military is targeting journalists.

Please clarify...

8. I don't know whether this is true or not.
But one thing is certain; most Americans are very naive when
it comes to how far our government will go.

I'm not sure what is scarier...the fact that this is completely
possible, or the idea that so many would dismiss it as being
untrue, based on the mistaken belief that our side would never
do something like that.

And then there was this comment posted:
"If the pen if mightier than the sword, enemy propagandists are not
only appropriate targets, they should be high on the target list."

Scary stuff indeed.

11. There have been lots of stories about this in the international media
including the AP. So if they really want to try to smear Eason Jordan with this, they'd better watch out where they go. They may not be happy with what we find out.

14. Found this on Common Dreams
The international news agency Reuters has made a formal complaint to the Pentagon following the "wrongful" arrest and apparent "brutalization" of three of its staff this month by US troops in Iraq.

The complaint followed an incident in the town of Falluja when American soldiers fired at two Iraqi cameramen and a driver from the agency while they were filming the scene of a helicopter crash.

The US military initially claimed that the Reuters journalists were "enemy personnel" who had opened fire on US troops and refused to release them for 72 hours.

Although Reuters has not commented publicly, it is understood that the journalists were "brutalized and intimidated" by US soldiers, who put bags over their heads, told them they would be sent to Guantanamo Bay, and whispered: "Let's have sex."

17. Anything being pushed by Little Green Footballs is a RNC push
Little Green Footballs was the point site for Swift Boat Veterans
Little Green Footballs was the point site for the Dan Rather smear
If Little Green Footballs is pushing it, then you know the RNC is behind it.
