Would we be happy if Laura Bush fainted on stage?
I suppose she's not as politically active as Hillary, but even if she were, I certainly don't think we'd be writing god damn songs about it and attacking her.

Check out how the Freepers feel about Hillary fainting:

to have moral values and be majority Christians. :eyes: I don't like W but I don't wish any of his family (or even him) dead. It's just not nice. And Laura isn't bad or anything (I don't think). I wonder what they'd do if she was a republican?

13. Laura Bush is pretty much a non-combatant
And she seems much more liberal than her master (I mean husband) although that's not saying much.

But she doesn't really shape policy.

And The Bush Twins... they're inept twits, but pretty harmless, until they get behind the wheel of a car. (Then again, it's their MOM who's killed someone with her car).

It would be as pointless to wish them ill-will as to wish harm to come to Bush's little black dog Barney.

Laura Bush and the Bush-twins are just like Barney. They're kind of cute, make a little noise, and occasionally pee on the floor.

Same goes for Nancy Reagan. She was a sweetie, if somewhat naive ("Just say No"?) I wouldn't wish Nancy Reagan any ill-will.

Actually, I would rather have had Nancy Reagan as president than either of the Bushes or Ronald.

HOWEVER...

Mary Cheney?
Lynne Cheney?

I hope they get struck by a meteor.

8. I pity that poor woman, Laura
and I refuse to make cheap shots about her clothes, etc. I profoundly pity her, that's all.

There's nothing about Hillary to be pitied. I'm sure she's strong enough to take the shots. If she could live through the impeachment, she can live through anything. Also, don't forget, she's still the most admired woman in America.

10. Why compare us and them?
We are human beings with hearts and souls and minds. They are the absolute dregs, sociopaths and thugs.

Of course, I bear Bush's stepford wife no ill will, but I certainly would enjoy it if Boosh himself took a spill.

As for Hillary, their hatred for her is completely inexplicable, her being a moderate republican and all...

17. Did you click on the bottom link????
I count one in the first dozen or so responses:

-It's a miracle!

-If you can't say something good about somebody, your probably talking about Hillary Clinton

-DAMN!

-I wish Hillary Clinton long life and good health.

-Maybe she encountered a Crucifix at the Catholic college?

-Well, Damn!

-Somebody must have spilled some water on her. Since she's recovered, I guess she only got a little damp. You'd think her security people would know better than to let anyone get near her with water. I'll bet heads will roll now.

-:(

-She is probably setting up an excuse to bow out of the speech tonight at the university in Buffalo. The Bishop slams her and so she will not appear.

-Don't you just love the fact that they don't mention Billy's name, just that her husband had heart surgery.

-It was the chemical ink fumes of freedom..

-Hopefully this collapse was brought on by the forthright announcement by Buffalo's new Catholic bishop that she is not welcome to bring her abortion message to Catholic organizations and schools in his diocese. When bishops properly fulfill their role of leadership in matters of faith and morals, it can make it tough for folks like Hilary to work their con.

-Damn, damn, damn...........and I was all ready to sing, "Ding dong, the witch is dead......"

-The docs told her to quit HEAD BOBBING....its going to scramble her brains

-I wish Hillary Clinton long life and good health in a Federal Penitentiary

45. I read the second thread (or the original)
and I was actually surprised that there were many people who offered sympathy. Even people who got a little crack in ("she's my best political enemy -- I'd be nothing without here") said some nice words.

It was wholly less offensive or stupid than your average FR thread. That said, two things:

1. Laura Bush is not the equivalent of HC -- HC is a Senator, and made good on her own. She's not just "window dressing."

2. While I was surprised at the FR reaction, I still think that the percentage could be a little higher for the party of "values," and just like us here -- who knows what's being censored for the eyes of the peering media (I saw several comments deleted).

Anyway, if the same thing had happened to Phyllis Schlafly or Ann Coulter, I can say for a fact that I'd be rejoicing more than any of the WORST freepers over there. Maybe not publicly, but in my heart.

The Freepers should be kneeling down to kiss her rosie cheeks.

The next time some freeper doesn't have the money to get an operation, or when they need to get a tooth pulled because they can't afford a filling, let them think of Hillary and how she TRIED to help them.

21. I wish I were as nice
I'm not sure I wish physical injury on politicians, but there are maybe a few whose injuries I could accept. I mean, if it were God's will and all. I reserve that feeling for those who spend their time bringing death and destruction to innocent people, though. I mean, if shrub fell down and hurt himself from too much bowing, well, I'd deal with it just fine...

23. Frankly Laura isn't a good analogy
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 03:46 PM by DistressedAmerican
I make as much or more fun of Bush (and his wife) as anyone in the world:
http://www.seedsofdoubt.com/distressedamerican/main.htm

I'm not sure that Laura going down is really that good of a comparison since Hillary actually holds office. Hillary is not just Bill's wife anymore.

A better comparison is with George. I can tell you, I for one would jump on Bush passing out like a cat jumps on nip. Remember how well we pounded him each time he couldn't ride a bike?

So, as much as I hate to say it, I'd say Hillary is fair game on this one. It's not like she had a debilitating stroke. Now that would be out of line.

We should get a slightly thicker skin. These ARE REPUGS we're dealing with after all.

Just to prove I'm not above making fun of Laura:

44. So did Ted Kennedy - both were accidents
I find the constant harping on this as petty. I guess it's too close to personal. In high school I had a very close friend who had an accident that she walked away from that killed another friend of ours. She left the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree. An unsecured spare tire in the back of the station wagon flew to the front crushing the passenger into the dash causing basically the same injury as Princess Di's. I know how she suffered back then and probably still does to this day.

Accidents happen.

Well there are ignorant and mean people on both sides. The other side claims to be more moral and pure than any other human beings on the planet. I sincerely hope Hillary is ok.
