13. But. it's a very effective tact to use with Tim. Tim gets knocked..
off of his attack dog balance when he's confronted with information that he doesn't know about. Doesn't matter what the camera zooms on. It has to do with letting Tim know that you won't stand for his selective fact finding.

7. "Central Banks Shun U.S. Assets" was the title
...on the shiny, stiff, folded up piece of paper Kerry pulled out. As for the comment "doesn't he know cameras don't do close-ups." Seemed to me a great bit of theater, complete with "real world" props that raised a flag by the fact of presentation-- WHY would he do that? What was the point of the schtick?

Kerry underlined the FACT of the shaky state of U.S. fiscal reality. Who was he waving the white flag at? Why did he camp it up? Suggests a sort of video morse code for S.O.S.

10. ix-nay ann-zay, Newbie is making nice point I think. Btw Howdy newbie!
I thought you were saying that Kerry was just backing up his words with something concrete, lending them more weight.

I kind of liked that myself.

I was also surprised to find out that we have a trade deficit with other countries. I tried to explain that to a friend, but I couldn't say it right, and she didn't believe me when I said that we were borrowing MONEY from other countries. She figures that America props other contries up, not the other way 'round.

Anyway, greeting!

:wow:

Maybe read a post twice-- new idea or actual meaning may be clearer-- before defending your turf with 'tude.

15. the parts where he spoke about abortion going down under Clinton
and going up under Bush and how he said even Bush probably doesn't want to overturn Roe v Wade were things i have seen on DU.

whether or not he reads DU, it's good to know he understands the politics played on the abortion issue by the Republicans.

in the debates Bush never said he opposed abortion, he only made some vague statement about how much he values life.

this framed the issue in terms of life rather than choice.
