Legacy candidates and the Democratic Party
Do we really want to go this route? The names I see tossed up sometimes (e.g., Hillary Clinton, Evan Bayh, to name a couple) are clearly legacy candidates. There is something about the grasping at legacy candidates as though the magic of their names or familial ties would somehow save the nation that bothers me. Is it in the interests of those supposedly represented by Democratic party for the party to develop a dynastic approach to gaining and weilding power? We've seen what it has done to the Republicans.

And dismiss the various Kennedys.

But doesn't FDR have a grandkid we could run? Maybe a neice or a nephew? Another Roosevelt cousin?

Now THAT would save the nation, and the party.

Really, really.

Talk about a voice to save Social Security....
