Roscoe Bartlett is a Social Security Pirate
I finally got a written answer from my Congressman, Roscoe Bartlett (MD 6th district-Republican) about Social Security. He's totally gung-ho for piratizing social security and repeated the same Bushie lies about the Social Security "crisis."
So, I e-mailed Bartlett the following:

Subject: Please say "NO" to Privatizing Social Security
Dear Rep. Bartlett,
Thank You for your letter and answering my question on the privatization of
Social Security.
After discussing this issue with family members, I disagree more and more
with you and the Bush administration's views on privatizing Social Security.
Like many people in their twenties, I can not afford to save privately for
social security because I must pay off my student loans, as well as pay rent
and bills. My parents are baby boomers who also must pay rent and bills,
but are also considering a mortage on a house. My grandparents have
contributed a lot of hard work over the years, but are now too old to work
for themselves.
I do not think that your commission has seriously considered alternatives to
privatization. The Social Security system is not any immediate danger, but
privatization could very well run up record deficiets of $2 trillion. It
would be better to raise taxes on those making than $100,000 a year to pay
for Social Security. Social Security is a program for the good of the
public and should be paid with the taxes of those Americans who have money
to spare.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. Holtzman
From Maryland's Fantastic Sixth District

BTW: I am damn proud that I voted for Kenneth Bosley, Bartlett's opponent, in 2004. Too bad I live in such Republican country.

1. It's piratization. And, tell him you dont know how you can afford to

support your parents in their old age since your contributions, which would have been going to support them, will instead be used for your private account.

Explain that you can't spend the same dollar twice or even thrice.

I know that * doesn't get it but he's apparently a slow learner.

For someone with a Bachelor's degree in History and an MBA, he sure hasn't learned anything from history or anything about financial management.

Edited: spelling

4. I know it's piratization,
that's why I called Bartlett a Pirate. I just prefer to use polite language in my corespondence with the congressman, cos you catch more bees with honey...

2. The Moonies claim Roscoe believes Moon is the messiah.
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 10:58 PM by Cell Whitman
As you may know, Roscoe carried the robes - bowing to Moon - when the conservatives' savior was crowned in March of last year.
find some that here:
http://www.gorenfeld.net/blog/2004/07/bartlett-and-kwak-memo-moons-america.html

Roscoe said he participated because he didn't want to be rude. haha Danny Davis admitted he was involved but later declared that he would no longer attend Moon functions.

Roscoe says a damb crowning broke out and he just had to hep out or be called rude. haha So he bows to a madman, feeding the lunatics delusions.

Maybe you should ask Roscoe what he has to say about this...

Here: http://tinyurl.com/5u97z

This is a talk by Michael Jenkins, head of the UC in America, to the members of Moon's group in New York on March 21, 2004. This was two days before Moon was crowned in the Dirkson office building. I transcribed some of it....the moonies are advising our state department just as Moon predicted years ago.

at 15:55 Quoting Jenkins

Father's teaching must go to the president - of every nation - but especially of this nation. Amen. That's why we're going to Capitol Hill. That's why this Capitol Hill emphasis is developing incredible foundation to educate congress and from the foundation of congress we're educating the White House and the State Department. As Father said - maybe there is somebody from the CIA here. But I can tell you the administration and the State Department and also the CIA look very favorably on our work. We got a letter from the White House from a briefing we did on the work we did in Israel from the head of President Bush's representative to all the Jewish communities in America and he's a deputy cabinet member and he wrote on the letter in his own handwriting, "You're doing great work - IIFWP." Because of the healing we're brining in the Middle East. So the White House is aware. ....

at 35:12

So I hope that gives you some background for March 23. The second Israel will come forward with incredible procession. And by the way, everybody that's on the stage, every politician and every religious leader that brings forward the crown and the robe, they are gonna believe that Father is the second coming, the savior and the messiah. No one's gonna be up there just out of ceremony. They're gonna do it from the heart.

______

me: I actually don't think, other than maybe Danny, the moonies knew who the hell they would con into carrying the robes. They are a very deceitful organization. But that is what they say....

3. This is pretty creepy.
Bartlett is supposed to be a Seventh Day Adventist, not a Moonie, according to his website. Seventh Day Adventists are Christians, in other words they believe that Jesus is the Messiah not this Korean conman. Bartlett is in deep spiritual and political cow chips.

5. I do really doubt that he believes Moon is the Messiah.
I think he is a chump and I think the the moonies are full of BS.
Were you able to listen to the whole audio?

People have just bought into this Moon is a harmless old man, just a guy little "off," view of him. They rationalize that he, his fronts and his goals are separate or that he isn't who he is. Bush 41 supports his efforts. He said so. But conservative leaders all have helped him pull off his manipulations of our nation and the planet and as such are following his lead.

He said he was here to bring Christianity together and bring them to power. He picked the religious right up by the scruff their necks and did that. Falwell couldn't do it. He needed Moon to bail his ass out. Moon outspent Scaife propping up and molding the new right. One book said insiders say Moon gave more to conservatives causes than anyone in the 80s. That was when this new right was formed.

Though I think Danny Davis believes Moon is a OK and is chosen in some fashion, I don't think all these people are followers. They are chumps. I mean, Bush 41 doesn't have to be a follower; he has given Moon all he could ask. Instead of looking at the Washington Times as a tool of Moon's to help him mold the nation as HE wants; they went for the power grab, rationalized and sold the country out. imho.

Watch this video. http://www.xenutv.com/cults/gb2.htm

Part one has a discussion with Sadat's daughter. She will tell you a little of how deceptive they can be. Part two has an interview with a former member.

This is the owner of the paper Reagan drooled on every morning we are talking about.

Here's some of what I think has happened to our nation. Send this to your fundie friends and then ask them to meditate on John 5:43.
