Police in Germany are hunting pranksters who have been sticking miniature US flags into piles of dog poo in public parks.

Josef Oettl, parks administrator for Bayreuth, said: "This has been going on for about a year now, and there must be 2,000 to 3,000 piles of excrement that have been claimed during that time."

The series of incidents was originally thought to be some sort of protest against the US-led invasion of Iraq.

And the government has never represented the people. That is a myth taught in school to make the people fight and die to defend the government even when it doesn't defend them.

That's why flag burning is done, to protest the government, not the people. But the government WANTS us to believe it is an attack on us.

I wish the flag DID represent the people and could feel indignant about the 'poo protesters.'

This might seem like semantics to some, but I think this misunderstanding is at the very heart of how fascism screws us all by trying to attach us to mere symbols like flags and uniforms while they take everything else on the planet.
