Take off the gloves, Ms. Pelosi & Mr. Reed.
Go to the House Leader's website.
Go to Waxman's Government Reform Committee's website.
Go to Conyers' Judiciary Committee website.

What will you see? Polite letters to *, cabinet secretaries, department heads, etc. asking that the administration pretty please stop the crap.

It's time to take off the gloves. The Democrats have no congrssional power to call investigations. But they have one tool I've not seen any discussion of. If the law has been broken and the justice department is not investigating or prosecuting, sue them in federal court. Sue the individuals who have broken the law in civil court.

It's so simple.

Why are the "leaders" so feckless?

1. Frustrating isn't it?
I remember the Repugs when Clinton was in office. They stuck together like a pack of wolves. The Dems seem to be fidgeting about like a flock of pigeons.

2. Not gonna happen
So, the question becomes what do WE do when it doesn't?

3. Watch it! Reid's "rapid response" operation will do another press release
that won't be pitched effectively and thus won't be reported, that none of our surrogates will be ordered to articulate points from, that will not make it into the "coordinated" dem message coming out of the house and DNC. But never fear--these press releases are not complete wastes of time. As a homage to the fleeting glory of Kerry's masterful, if unreported, press releases someone on DU will post it as evidence of the Dems "fighting back." OK, you;re right. That's not funny. Not funny at all.
