Dean's future if he doesn't get the nomination
Could he challenge Jeffords for his senate seat?

2. why take on Jeffords?
Better to take out of the Republican govenor he left in his wake.
But in all seriousness, I think he may not have much political future.

3. DNC CHAIR!
As much as I can't stand Dean, I think he would actually make a GREAT DNC Chair.

5. Jeffords is very popular in Vermont
IF (and that's a big if) Dean does not get the nomination, I would really love to see him head the DNC; at least we would have someone out there fighting for us for a change. I also think he'd do well as Secretary of Health.

it would be of very bad taste.

on edit: He could run if and when Jeffords or Leahy retire.

7. I don't think he would challenge Jeffords,
but I think he might go for it, if Jeffords retired.

13. Look I meant it as a joke. Lighten up.
I did not mean to be mean-spirited. I'm just looking at the careers of other former Presidential candidates. Most don't go on to run for Senate or become party chair or anything like that. They just become ex-Presidential candidates, and that is usually how they are labelled for the rest of their lives.
