Blindsighted political support is stupid
We must look at the issues and the overal picture - not just about whether someone is a good organizer. Karl Rove would make a great DNC chair if we want someone who can organize, pull people together and win. I think we need to look at who is the best on the environment (which can be devestated in four years) on opposing free trade (something that could destroy the environment and the labor market in the next four years), the death penalty (something Gonzales would most certainly like to give all Democrats) stopping current malpractice reform (a death sentence for patients) and instituting a patient's bill of rights. The chairman appoints people to the resolutions committee, the platform committee, the legislation committee and other committees. I want good appointments based on keeping the Democratic Party supportive of the values that speak to the best in our party.

1. Thank you
I have a friend who says " I support Kerry but I don't know why" and that's never a good way to go. We don't want that on the other side of the political spectrum to happen. i.e. "I support bush but don't know why."

People must have knowledge and reason behind their opinion. We woldn't want someone to vote for Zell Miller just because he says he's a democrat.

2. I can agree to that
Blind support turns out to be shallow support in the end. We need an informed base.

I'd like to think I have knowledge and reason behind who I support. Well, now I do. I supported Clark rather blindly.
