4. here's my favorite moron
"Do you want us to march against you? What would be your response to a civil war? Maybe that is the answer since you refuse to accept the will of the majority. You and your leftist, anti-war zealots will be a push-over in the streets. I can see it now. You'll carry "Give peace a chance" signs as we come toward you. As we get closer, you'll stick flowers in the barrels of our guns (you, of course, won't have guns because you don't want citizens to own guns)...Then you'll have a choice to make. Either be true to your anti-war rhetoric or and surrender and die. Or, show yourselves to be the hypocrites we know you to be and fight."

The guy that wrote this probably shits his pants when people stand up to him. Only a coward would feel the need to cope with his small minded small dick reality by harboring g.i. joe fantasies against peaceful and sane people.

5. I always love the idea that

defending ourselves would make us hypocrites because we opposed a war of aggression.

6. Gee
At least the jazz funeral for democracy isn't looting the federal treasury for its excesses and then shutting out the very citizens whose money they're using to put on their party.

Unlike some people we could all name.

8. what is this gun thing that they think they own?
my husband has guns, i can make a bomb from a lightbulb.(like who can't) Do they think that because we disagree on war and have peaceful protests that we would just sit and be slaughtered? They show over and over again why there is a problem with hate mongering idiots owning assault weapons.

9. Exactly! If this guy is so tough, why would he need a gun
to take on some "weak liberals" at a protest who are no physical threat to him? Maybe we should email him and see...

Me! Not asking, either. :)

Of course, I don't need a lightbulb bomb when I have my S&W .357 handy.

12. Not a gun person myself
They creep me out. Most of my friends are dems and boy do they have guns. I on the other hand am not a pacifist and am quite a capable martial artist so if they want to attack me in a peaceful protest they better have a gun

10. LOL -- "Communist Socialist Liberal Democrats"
Somebody has some issues. I'm a libertarian, and I vote with the Democrats, because uh, I'm not a dumb pussbag.

And I think the definition of the Bush administration is "statist" for all the retards out there who can't recognize right-wing, authoritarian statism when it bites them in the ass.

13. Other Jan. 20 protests
Hi:

I'm a newbie even though I've been lurking for a while. I'm amazed to see that nobody on DU is talking about the strike on the economy on Jan. 20. I belong to a number of yahoo groups, anti-bush, anti-rw, anti-neocon, etc., I even moderate a few. We are all gearing up for this "SHUTDOWN THE US ECONOMY FOR 24 HOURS ON JANUARY 20" protest. Have you heard of this site:

http://www.black-thursday.com/home.html

BLACK THURSDAY, January 20, 2005
The Idea Is Simple.
Just Like The President.

This January 20th:

- Call in sick to work
- Don't buy anything

15. SHUTDOWN THE US ECONOMY ON JAN. 20
Hi Greenbriar:

BIG effort to shut down the economy on Jan. 20 to protest *'s election. The MSM aren't going to cover the protest anyway even if 10 million people show up. So there's a big effort on to have a strike. That site http://www.black-thursday.com/home.html has some good information and a fabulous poster at http://www.black-thursday.com/thursdayflyer.pdf. "Not One Damn Dime Day" some are calling it and there are a few sites with that info. I'm really frustrated because DU says I can't post a new thread because I'm a newbie. I have been trying to get this really moving, emailing unions, etc. I had been an sending an email around for over a month. I know these post's aren't supposed to be too long, but I'll put part of it here.

PROTEST THE ILLEGAL INAUGURATION OF DUBYA

For 24 Hours SHUT DOWN THE U.S. ECONOMY

-- If you are an employee, take Thursday, January 20 off. Take a vacation day, a personal day, call in sick. I don't care. Just don't work. (Emergency workers excluded).

-- If you own a business, (and I realize this is a very big request), close down your business on January 20. Put a message on your voicemail letting anyone who calls know why you are closed. Put a sign in your window. Just do it!

-- If you have a website, take it down, and put up a page that says your business is closed because you are mourning the death of your country, the end of democracy and the US as we have known it, the stolen election and the illegal inauguration of bush!

-- If you have friends outside the US, tell them not to buy an american product, an american stock, conduct business with an american firm, nothing!

-- AND NO ONE HERE BUYS A THING! Not a bottle of water, a pay-per-view movie, a candy bar, a gallon of gas, a pack of cigarettes, nothing. Get organized and do it the day before.

While you are sitting home, pick up the phone and call the media and tell them what you are doing. (This is the ONLY thing you are allowed to spend money on.) Call your senators and representatives if you think it will do any good.

They wouldn't listen to us when we called and emailed and filed lawsuits. They thought that they were going to steal our country and our freedom, send us to war, put the profits in their pockets and then rub our faces in it by inaugurating bush? NO WAY!
