Poll question: Gonzalez? Or a baked potato?
http://fafblog.blogspot.com/

Alberto Gonzales versus a Baked Potato

BACKSTORY
Alberto Gonzales: Risen from humble roots, member of oppressed minority
Baked potato: member of the Solanaceae family
Advantage: GONZALES

POWERS AND ABILITIES
Alberto Gonzales: Doesn't offer own legal opinions to the president, can't remember previous legal opinions for the senate, can't explain current legal opinions to anybody.
Baked potato: Doesn't offer own legal opinions to the president, can't remember previous legal opinions for the senate, can't explain current legal opinions to anybody, and is covered with hot melted butter and sour cream!
Advantage: POTATO

Comments from the blog--

I'd like to propose an addendum to the potato's "Usefulness to the President" category: Baked potatoes are not, generally, considered choking hazards.

Ah, but the potato is, itself, a humble root.
And in this age of Atkins-inspired repression, is not the potato a member of an oppressed minority, the carbo-heavy foods?
I'd have to give this one to the tater.

A potato has eyes.
Justice need not be blind.

Alberto Gonzales may have worked hard in his life to rise above his humble roots, but has he been tested to the limit of his capacity by temperatures high enough to change his molecular makeup? I think not. The baked potato, then, shows greater fortitude and should have a better understanding of the nature of torture.
