Ho Chi Minh once said...
"You can kill ten of my men for every one I kill of yours. But even at those odds, you will lose and I will win."

It seemed like a bold statement at the time, but he was proven right. And apparentely Georgie can't take the lesson. There's at least 200k insurgents in Iraq. Realistically there is far more, and for everyone that is killed, more keep popping up.

It took far too long for us to realize last time that killing a bunch of people doesn't equal victory, and before finally pulling out. Unfortunately Georgie and Dumbsfeld haven't taken the lesson.

1. Well, Georgie didn't bother to show up for Minh's class, remember?

2. At least they don't have a Nguyen Ai Quoc as spokesman
and a brilliant military mind like Vo Nguyen Giap on their side yet.

I say YET. If we keep fucking things up, it'll give enough time and resources for such a duo to pop up.

4. When the other side cares more about the cause than about human life
Then indeed, they will except infinitely more causalties than we. We will be sick of the killing far sooner. That was one of the big lessons of Vietnam, esp. after Tet.

7. Or when the other side believes it is fighting for national liberation
and our side can't figure out what the fuck we're doing there.

Yep. Deja Vu all over again.
