1. OK, but what about the poll?
are the changes Bush is making to his cabinet good for the country? Kind of begs the question, doesn't it?

Also, I'm laughing my ass off at the fact that a three bedroom house costs (significantly) less than my one-bedroom apartment in NYC. Laughing at myself for paying such a sum that is.

2. I was just looking at model homes today
in my neck of Texas and I looked at one that was FIVE bedrooms, office, huge game room upstairs, two living areas, a laundry room big enough for kitchen cabinets along one wall and a SEATING area (with a closet, too), a HUGE ass kitchen, nice ceramic tile, stainless steel appliances, the whole nine yards: $184,000. And good construction, too. Non-cheapo cabinets and drawers. Intercom system. I think it was almost 4,000 square feet.

But it's in a red state.

3. location, location...
location.

I have to say, living amongst flaming, unabashed, outspoken liberals is worth every penny.

Apartments in NYC are broken into two categories, pre-war and post-war. The war this refers to is WWII, and usually indicates a more solidly-built, quiter building (but often in need of electricals upgrades). Of course, with the chimp in office, crap built by Trump in 2001 could be considered pre-war, so that selling point has lost its value...

4. Oh I agree.
At this point, I think I'd live in a large-ish closet to live in NYC.

5. "location, location, location"
I love it. I'm in Detroit (I grew up in the suburbs). I wouldn't trade a thing; the taxes suck for what you get back, but living amongst people who aren't afraid of their own shadow or folks of a different color, religion, etc., is priceless.

I'm thinking there's a MasterCard ad in the making here, except it would piss off those who live in more "homogeneous" enclaves. ;-)
