Do your co-workers know what is going on right now?
Anyone else frustrated right now that their co-workers don't have a clue right now about the historic moment happening RIGHT NOW with Sen. Boxer, and also the Gonzales confirmation hearing?

Even as I'm telling people about it, they're saying -- "oh, is that important?"

AARGH!

And I work for a liberal organization!

The only other person here who knows what's happening is our resident freeper -- who looks freaked out. :bounce:

1. Yes.
I have the luxury of an office, with a door and everything, so I can listen to AAR. As soon as I heard the news, I ran out to the cube area and let them know. A cheer went up.

I love my place of work.

2. You have a freeper at a liberal organization?
That's strange. Anyway, you're right, no one knows what the hell is going on right now. People need to hear about the e-voting problem.

3. No they don't know.
I've talked to Democrats who can't even remember Iran-Contra, let alone what it was about.

6. Nope, probably not
Talked to a co-worker yesterday who didn't know what Halliburton was, or consciencious objection. Good grief. There are a couple other people here who might know, but I haven't seen them yet today.

Those I've talked to haven't even heard of Conyers let alone that there is even a challenge to the electoral vote. I've been telling all that I can about it, across the states.

10. Hmmm...
a.) It is symbolic, and will be just a momentary blip in the march of history. I appreciate Boxer being gutsy enough to do it, but facts is facts.

b.) Boxer and Conyer's moves are really more directed at energizing the informed and activist Dem base than anything else. They have been successful at that.

c.) 97 percent of my coworkers are Republicans!

12. Should a fired-up Dem base be the only result --
-- I'd say Senator Boxer's motion is worth its weight in gold.

14. Q: Screen crawl on CNN says...
"Congress to certify election for George W Bush Today."

If Dems force a debate, how can it be certified?
