Poll question: Cynicism Test
I've just had this thought and I have to share it. I've been tthinking about the media, and how all the right-wing media needs is a single rumor to convince themselves of things they want to be true. I fear I may be becoming too cynical, but I am convinced, that if Drudge or Limbaugh were to plant a made up, baseless story about Kerry and the Dems allegedly receiving campaign contributions from al-Qaeda, that the Republican hardliners, based on the rumor alone, without ANY evidence, would accept it as Gospel, and would then push to have Kerry and the Dems brought up on charges of treason.

So, tell me, am I being too cynical? I think I am, but I can't help thinking this, considering the total abyss of truth that has become the right-wing political discourse. Damn, there I go again!

1. I kind of think the swift vet thing was like that.
The press did not investigate the charges they just kept repeating them.

2. I am surprised they didn't make such an accusation
After all, shrub has financial ties to the royal Saudi family and they make up stuff on their opponents sometimes based on shrubs own deficiencies.

5. At one point during the campaign
they said that Kerry's wife had given money to Hezballah through one of the Heinz charities. Never caught on though. Don't think the sheeple knew who Hezballah was.

6. The Swift Boat Veterans For Truth
Their propaganda was nothing but a pack of lies, but the SCLM spent weeks broadcasting it for free - without ANY critical analysis.
