The Arts in a Red State
Last night in Ocean Springs, MS, the Trent Lott Theatre for the Performing Arts was dedicated with Lott in attendance. "Lott helped secure nearly $1 million in FEDERAL GRANTS for the Center" which cost less than $3 million. Lott said, "I hope in MS and in America we don't get away from including arts in the curriculum." David Thompson of the People's Bank said, "OCEAN SPRINGS IS THE ARTS AND CRAFTS CAPITAL OF THE WORLD IN MY OPINION."

Last year MS received $1.85 in Federal money for every dollar sent to Washington. Last night in Ocean Springs the Federal dollars were just fine thank you. The rest of the year, fuck a bunch of tax and spend "liberals."

Hey, Trent Thanksa Lott!! Where you been?? Arts are cut everytime Republicans get in power.

(Btw, will there be a black-face minstrel show at Lott Theatre's opening performance?)
