2. Naw
It's not going to happen. Now a cabinet post for Kucinach is more likely.

6. yup
it will be interesting to hear if this deal mattered given the results.

Bringing a congressional district is not enough to get you VP.

8. But being "The Kooch" is enough to get you the "VP"
o yeah baby... well actually being the "KOOCH" is enough for you to get the "P" and thats a capital "P" as in President, not no water closet business

7. Why not Kerry/Gephardt?
Didn't they prove to be the more effective double team?

9. And to think..
Not many people even had Edwards in the first half of their dream tickets until today. I'm still excited about his tremendous showing.

I don't think Kucinich should be on the ticket. I know talk of lack of electability annoys many people, and so it should. But that's the reality of the situation. However, as mentioned, giving Kucinich a cabinet position would be perfectly acceptable.

10. Ohayou!
Wake up and smell the electoral votes: Gore did not carry either Edwards' or Kucinich's home state in 2000.

And without NC and OH, shrub will have difficulty winning.

Personally, I think a Floridian or Clark might be a better choice for Edwards' running mate, but it's too soon for this discussion.

11. Forget Florida. Nothing legal happens in that state.
Put it in George's column and build a fence around it.

14. Well, no
Honestly, we need a Sec. of Defense with STRONG military and foreign policy experience. I believe Kucinich would be better used in a domestic capacity like labor. Just my two cents, I have to say that I was VERY impressed with the Kucinich camps "Quasi-endorsement" of the Edwards camp. It showed level-headedness. If you look at Edwards and Kucinich's domestic platform they are almost identical. Certainly they disagreed about Iraq, but like I said before, it surprised me that Kucinich would be smart enough to recognize that the similarities outweigh the differences. Especially in their upbringings.

18. I promise to be nice, I promise to be nice... (just kidding)
Yes Kucinich is VERY level headed, and smart...

"defense" is important but requires no military experience... Kucinich is an expert at "defending" the citizens of this country, he is an expert at exposing the lies of our current administration... peace starts at home, not with dropping bombs... defense is upon the soils of our country, and that is where it begins and ends...

foriegn policy experience is not "important" either, the knowledge of world events far outweighs any experience... intelligence, comprehension, acceptance and diplomacy out manuvere bombs...

Kucinich has those talents... from the poor inner city kid to the elderly man or woman who has no healthcare... from international solidarity, to enjoyable life experiences for everyone Kucinich marks the map as equals sharing this globe and finds balance in the incompatabilities while always favoring his voters...

I'll lobby for clark to have some special place in Kucinich's cabinet.

15. I'd be fine with that too. It would pull both the North and the South,
the anti-war crowd and those who were willing to give the Bush thugs the benefit of the doubt. Kucinich and Edwards are the two most honest candidates in the race and neither one came from the upper class. They both represent the average person. Both also are better versed on the Constitution than most other candidates. They have the two best labor records of any candidates.

22. I see an alliance
and maybe a spot in the admin.

I doubt we'll see a VP come from the ranks of any of the current candidates. It typically does not happen.
