***** OFFICIAL IOWA RESULTS THREAD *****
Edited on Mon Jan-19-04 08:59 PM by Skinner
(I apologize for breaking the caps rule and the punctuation rule, but I think it's important that everyone sees this.)

There are too many threads for results, and it's hard to keep track of which thread is which. Lets try posting the results in this thread to see if we can better keep track of what's going on.

Let's try to have a standard format for the title of each post, with the number of precincts reporting, followed by the first three or four candidates in order.

00 precincts - Candidate A: 00%, Candidate B: 00%, Candidate C: 00%, Candidate D: 00%

I don't think we need to repeat the total number of precincts (1993) every time.

Last results I got from this link before it broke.

Edited on Mon Jan-19-04 08:59 PM by leyton
This is amazing.

Still waiting for those city voters to turn out for Dean and Gephardt, but I doubt the actual positions will change.

Edit: Aggh! I broke the rule. Sorry, CNN doesn't say how many precincts have reported.

7. CNN has the results posted on the front page
so far they only have percentages. The delegate column is what counts.

Candidate % Iowa Delegates
Kerry
37 0
Edwards
33 0
Dean
18 0
Gephardt
11 0
Kucinich
1 0

15. So much for poll numbers.
How could all of these poll numbers over all of these months have been so wrong? Me thinks that the Dean juggernaut may have been propped up by the right wing media in hope of not sending Kerry or Edwards to go against Bush and Chenney.

Edited on Mon Jan-19-04 09:24 PM by David Zephyr
This showing by Senator Kerry can not be dismissed.

It is truly a stunning achievement the likes of which I can't remember seeing before.

Something is happening with the electorate.

Very impressed.

And kudos to John Edwards and his supporters, too.

This Dean supporter salutes you all!

I'm not so sure Edwards will do well in NH. I believe he is a wonderful candidate but I just don't think he will do as well there. I think NH is going to come down to Kerry and Dean.

I only just got over here, obviously I'm in one of my 'too dozy to be in the right place at the right time' moods.

If I had been here since the beggining it would probably have been a two monitor night.

Edwards in second place ????

I hope this does not mean that the actual results are more 'right-wing' (to probably choose the wrong word) than all the opinion polls, because otherwise bush* is a shoe-in.

Holy Shit, for SURE!

Let the games begin.

I'm surprised Dean didn't do better. I'm NOT surprised Edwards did as well. Saw a lot of him on CSPAN over the weekend. I must say I was impressed. Even if he did vote for the blinkin' war.

So... okay, now that Kerry has a leg up, WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE CONVINCE KERRY TO START MAKING USE OF JOSEPH WILSON AND RAND BEERS?!?!?!?!?
