Edited on Sat Nov-27-04 08:55 PM by KoKo01
They are left with the whole remnants of "roast Bush Beast" on their plates and major "indigestion."

When most Americans have "tuned out" either "happy with the Chimp's Regime" or disillusioned and "tuned out going local," then WHO is left to watch their crap? Who is left to buy the junk their commercials are pumping and their "Pundits" are spewing? Folks in motels/hotels where the channels are tuned to CNN? Folks in "Nursing Homes" who have no alternative buy what their "caregivers tune in to keep the 'inmates dulled senseless?'"

At some point THEY are LEFT OUT...and WE WIN?

1. Let me make sure I understand your point...
By going local, are you talking about organizing and electing representatives at the local level, the way DFA does?

7. Yes...we protest, write letters, fax, phone, e-mail our Local State
Senators and House Members...give up on the US Senate and House unless we live in states where they will listen to us...and we keep the pressure on if they will listen to us...but GO LOCAL! Take back our COMMUNITIES/COUNTIES/CITIES and our STATES from the "clutches of the Repugs and the Religious Fanatics. We can start at home because unless the vote fraud roots Bushies out...we can't work with the National Gov't and the National Dem Party headed by Brazille, Shrum and the Corporate Lobbyists Campaign Ops who are all in bed with each other.

We Go LOCAL...We still have "State Governments" we can control. We start by finding out what our "Precinct" is.. We run for office (most precincts in counties don't even have Chairman/Vice Chairment or Captains and Co-Captains. Start by going to your county Democratic Party Website. If you can't find a website then find out why they don't have one. Then run for election. Find out when they select the "Precinct" officers and then show up. You won't find more than two or three people unless you live in the Northeast or in a major city where the Precints are filled with Party Operative of both kinds. But each state has hundreds of Precincts. My county in NC has 98 Precincts and only about 1/3 are filled. BUT as a Precinct Officer you have a vote in your District and on up to your County Dem Party. This is where you can make a difference in the Dem Candidates who are selected by the Party.

For Decades we have been left out of the process...we didn't know that you can work up in your neighborhoood (Precinct Level) to have a vote or run for office. We should have all remembered that from Civics or American History...but hey...we were busy with hormones...I was, too.

This is how we do it...just like the Repugs...and if we can influence our States then we can influence the national. How bout getting our states to do something about cable rates...and how the "media" uses their ownership against us. Each state has it's own Cable Regulatory system...but folks don't show up to meetings because they are not listed or at inconvenient times. What if we showed up? What if we faxed, phoned, e-mailed LOCALLY?

:shrug;

8. Well sure! That's what DFA is doing now, in fact.
In Colorado, we made great progress this way and got our state legislature back for the first time in 40 years!

We also gained a Dem seat in the U.S. Senate.

As for cable, less and less people are watching it. It's too revolting.

13. Find good candidates NOW.
A DUer who just lost in AZ (dorkTV) is already gearing up to run again, and I'm already helping her.

I can't wait for our worthless state party anymore.

I'm still a yellow-dog, and will probably stay big "D" forever, but my time and money are going to DFA now.

.because I'm just throwing this out for more ideas. It's a thought that came to me out of the depths of depression over this new "Selection."

Going Local and even pressuring our local media which is all fed from the CNN's and Foxes. My local channels are controlled by Sinclair, CNN and ABC....So are most of yours probably. If we hit our local stations they feel the feedback to give to the "owners/handlers."

We've tried going after "the Big Boys" and now we gotta get at the roots.

As I said...throwing this out for Discussion...as an idea.

3. Yep. The only reason they have those polls and questions is
that they don't want to lose viewship to cyberspace.

10. We haven't been able to watch our "Time/Warner" since 11/2 and thought
about Sattelite...hoping for more diversity. If sattellite doesn't offer it then I guess we take the box back and just read books...but why are we "Fringe Folks" who can't watch anything? What portion of America are they serving if folks who voted for Kerry/Edwards or even Al Gore in 2000 can no longer find anything that suits their needs?

And, even the "entertainment" which we can't watch either...we gave up on because of the length of the commericals. How can you keep a train of thought when there are equal amounts of commercials to the content of the show? Or, even the old movie channels...commercial after commercial.

Unless one tapes and uses skip to get rid of the commericals watching anything in "real time" is frustrating to many of us. And, we always thought of ourselves as "normal" but we don't want commercials/infommercials shoved in our face for 25 minutes out of every hour or 15 minutes out of every half hour?

Why should this be? We pay to watch already so we are "subsidizing" the damned commercials. More "Corporate Welfare!" UGH!!!!

11. Yep I fucking HATE commercials
with a vengeance. Hell, I'm already paying $57 a month for the satellite dish (or WAS), so why in the hell should there also be commercials on satellite channels???
