You know, I just don't know what to make of polls anymore. The CNN polls seems to be more favorable to Bush (as usual).
But, on the other hand, the CBS/NYT seems to have a slightly different feel. I love the title of the article!
My favorite quotes:
"By 48 percent to 40 percent, respondents said they believed four more years of a Bush presidency would divide the nation more than it would unite it."
(snip)
"Americans now have a better opinion of the Democratic Party than of the Republican Party:
54 percent said they had a favorable view of Democrats, compared with 39 percent with an unfavorable view. By contrast, 49 percent have a favorable view of Republicans, compared with 46 percent holding an unfavorable one."
Now THAT was a surprise! :wow:
The New York Times' interesting write-up (reg required - you know the drill):
http://nytimes.com/2004/11/23/national/23poll.html?hp&ex=1101272400&en=3ea63a4e6a76d17d&ei=5094&partner=homepage.The full poll is also available on the site. After reading it, I'd say Americans are suffering from cognitive dissonance in a bad way. Question after question where the majority disapprove of *, and yet they still voted for the guy and feel he was elected legitimately.
