The poster is right. The average American thinks in sound bites. If you try to make a point and are unable to do so in just a sentence or two you will see their eyes glaze over and their minds go on a brief vacation. The Republicans know this, that's why they won. We seemed to think that substance was important. It wasn't. Repeating mindless unsubstantiated drivel over and over and over again, using very short sentances and buzz words, is what won the election.
