I liked my idealized mental image of John Kerry
more than I liked whatever I first thought when Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, or John Edwards came into my head.

Please Senator Kerry, make that a reality for me and everyone else that voted for you.

That is all.

3. I didn't idealize him as a "man of the people" per se like
Jennings Bryan, more like a mysterious James Bond/Colonel Kurtz type charachter that kicks ass behind the scenes and doesn't cheaply pander to "bubba" sensibilities, while fighting for them at the same time.

4. I think that he did. He certainly did this for me
He was not my first choice, Kucinich was, but I am realistic, and the first Kerry speech that caught my attention and made my resolve, was one I caught on C-Span, in front of the VFW. I would have followed this man anywhere. I still liked other candidates, but when it was obvious that he would get the nomination and he chose Edwards for VP, seeing them together made me realize that this was our dream ticket. Intelligence and experience and intelligence and well-spoken. This was a formidable duo. Only election fraud kept them from winning. I truly believe this, and I steer clear of nuts. Check out journalist Greg Palast. He's far from a nut.
