I hope Falwell, Robertson and Dobson keep it up
Ranting and raving like the snake handlers that they are. Won't be long before we start seeing some buyers remorse on the part of some mainstream voters.

These people re-appear again and again throughout the sweep of history. It's kind of like beating down a snake with a hoe, it just comes up elsewhere. The Salem witchcraft trials, McCarthyism, you name it. Five years after the Salem frenzy, realizing a terrible mistake had been made, Massachusetts paid restitution to most of the families whose loved ones had been executed. McCarthy was discredited and disgraced by one brave lawyer named Joseph Welch, who dared ask him, "Senator, have you no decency, at long last?" McCarthy drank himself to death a few years later. These idiots do plenty of harm, but eventually reason will win over. By the way, the press was scared to death of McCarthy. Some things never change.

All we can ask of ourselves is to fight the virus of fear in our own lives, which is what these maniacs live off of, unite together and beat them down to the best of our ability. What they hate most of all is organized opposition.

2. Greed and political power
are the worst thing that can happen to religious authorities. It brings them down every time. Their high-minded principals and morals go straight out the window as they crave and get that earthly power. Jesus did say that his kingdom was not of this world.

We just have to watch them carefully- they'll get nastier and more dangerous as the deterioration sets in.
