Polling the Peckerwoods

So I was down at the local mega flea market today and every time I heard somebody talking about the election I lingered to hear the banter.

This flea market is a cool place. Kind of third world in an interesting sort of way. Chickens and dogs for sale, a tatoo parlor, a gun shop. Lots of the retired, disabled and underemployed. I heard 4 people talk about the election.

Two guys were democrats but voted for Bush because of gun control. One guy also mentioned that Kerry had said he liked to go deer hunting crawling thru brush with a shotgun(you don't hunt deer here with a shotgun) This maybe a false quote he picked up somewhere. Both guys said they agreed with Kerry economically.

One guy said he was a democrat, but voted against them because he couldn't see Teresa Kerry as first lady. That he was a democrat, but that she wasn't born here and donated to terror organizations with her charity and didn't take Kerry's name till long after they were married. (I received an anti Teresa chain email that had many of these allegations from at least 4 difft. people during the election cycle)

One other guy didn't say his party affiliation, but said while he thought since Kerry had fought in Vietnam, that he had a right to protest it, but where he crossed the line was by working with Jane Fonda. "I believe I'd call her a communist. I couldn't vote for anybody who was good buddies with a communist like her"

All I can say it that the Republicans are KING at the poision pen e mail and whispering campaign. In my own experience I recieved anti Kerry rumor e mails about 9 times to every 1 anti Bush one. Is there an organ of the GOP that is responsible for disseminating them?

One of the most wicked I got was one you open. There was no text but it paired pictures of Bush hunting or doing "manly" things with ones of Kerry where he was wind surfing, or holding his hand in a feminine way and other things meant to make him look sissy.

The Dems gotta start using stuff like that. Where was the pic of cheerleader Bush???

He's next in line for Texas Mafia countrol of the country, and the closest Daddy Bush is going to get to a hereditary monarchy.

He's also pretty vulnerable on a lot of accounts, and yes, we need to start preparing that stuff now.
