The word is getting out now... Two old ladies at Macys...

Yesterday, were walking around at the same time that my daughter and I were there... I was patiently waiting for her to try some clothes on (torture like you couldn't believe), and looking around at all the a-holes I used to refer to as my fellow-Americans... All of a sudden I heard raised voices... I turned around to see two old ladies arguing in the Liz Clayborne section... The one was saying to the other: "Oh yeah Millie, a thousand voters in a county but fifteen-hundred votes?" Millie had a lower voice so I couldn't hear what her response was but I was soooooooooo happy to hear an average run of the mill older lady at Macys saying that... I wanted to run up and hug her...!

I'm wondering, has anybody else had this happen to them? An "average" American mentioning fraud?

1. I've heard it discussed in a few surprising places

but most people I see or speak with seem utterly ignorant. they believe the "big game" is over and have all gone back to sleep.

2. The "word" is getting out...however the Bush media machine

has been doing its best to "debunk" any suggestions as conspiracy theories...but your right...its slowly starting to spread off the internet from the "very aware and astute" who have been paying attention to now reaching the folks who don't ever use the internet....

I went to workout at the JCC (Jewish Community Center) near my house and I started talking with someone about it and two little old Jewish ladies spoke up in the middle of our conversation and said "I don't believe that man got the popular vote or even as much of the Jewish vote"...I think these people are dangerous...I think its like the nazis all over again" (The women who spoke up was a holocaust survivor as a child from Holland). The other woman was nodding AND SAYING SHE AGREED...

I think all of us need to be talking about this topic as we go about our daily business and chores...you'd be amazed how many people have been "thinking and feeling" that this election is fishy, without having ever read about it in the papers, internet or email.

3. I Was Talking to a Guy on the Street.

Less you think I'm crazy, this is east TN where talking to total strangers is not dangerous, yet. Anyway I say to him, "There's a lot of talk about the vote being rigged on the INTERNET." and someone walking by said. "Not again, this is ridiculous. We should just make him King and get over with it."

4. Last night in Barnes & Noble in Manhattan

I was sitting in the cafe with some friends. I heard a guy at one table telling some other people about the fraud & recount in OH. He was also telling them about AAR. I wanted to go hug him. :P

I NEVER hear anything encouraging around here. The blues in this red state are so beaten down and discouraged.

6. This morning in my email I received from

someone who was adamant that I should just 'get over it' an email and link from MoveOn's investigate the vote. This person is a Dem and has evaluated information and reconsidered their position!

Keep talking it up and sending email, articles and don't let up!

That made me laugh out loud. Because I've been doing it too. In public places lately I find myself looking around wondering who everyone voted for and then just assuming they're all a-hole *-supporters until they prove differently.

I don't think that's healthy, it's certainly made me less social this past week and a half.

But it made me laugh to see I'm not the only one. :)

12. Sad, isn't it?

Even though I'm in Jersey, I still "hate" everybody right now... Especially if they're at the mall!!! Yeah, I know, I was there too.... But believe me, if you laid your eyes on me, you would know I was in hell... Red ears, sweaty face, pacing back and forth... Ah... The joys of having a teenaged girl... Mom, do you think I look better in the Baby Phat outfit or does the DKNY look better?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

8. This is both an encouraging and terribly sad thread.

Encouraging because people know something is rotten and are beginning to talk about it.

Sad because with one mainstream exception, they are purposefully and roundly smeared as crackpots and conspiracy theorists. So most of those who believe a fraud has been perpetrated will likely keep their suspicions to themselves, for fear of being called crazy. Until they hear a stranger whisper on the street about a stolen election, and find the courage to whisper back, "I know."

There is lots of talk there. Some believe it, some don't, but at least they talk about it

10. I've been hearing...

Two distinct views. The repugs who voted for * think I'm just not facing reality and I will get over it. However... they are the minority. I see 20 different local truck drivers everyday (Portland, OR) and I have been letting them know about what's going on. They had been so depressed about the result! They believe completely that something went wrong, and ask me for updates everyday. The few Dems that were sure we lost, are starting to ask too. We are getting the word out! :)
