Well, away down here in the land of cotton,
Well, away down here in the land of cotton,
Things are gettin' mighty rotten,
Go away! Go away!
Go away! Jesus Land.

In Jesus Land, it's bad to worse.
How can I escape the curse?
Go away! Go away!
Go away! Jesus Land.

Oh I'm bailin' out of Dixie!
Hooray! Hooray!
In Liberal Land I'll take my stand.
I will not die in Dixie!
Can't stay, can't stay,
Can't stay down south in Dixie.

5. Thinking about it.
Not just the politics.
When a hurricane turns your life upside down, it makes you rethink your priorities. Ours are to be as close as possible to our daughter, her husband, and grandson Jack for whatever days we have left.

6. Don't mean to get personal...
But where are they?

And damn, I guess this is the first time I've seen you since Ivan...did you lose your home? I hope not! But I understand, if you suffered damage.

Decisions like this are tough. I know from experiencing them right this very moment.

9. Ooooheeyuck.
Just kidding! Think about it...you could hang with Pitt too. Well, maybe not.

Mighty expensive up that way. But I guess you know all about it from your family there. Good luck friend... :)

2. Things could be worse. You could have had beachfront
property in Gulf Shores.

4. Close enough.
Wolf Bay, about 5 miles north of the intracoastal.
Dock destroyed, bulkhead caved in and a dozen or so 6'-10'W X 2'-3' D holes where oaks used to be. Looking at several thousand $$$ of landscaping, none of it covered by insurance. At least we still have a roof over our heads.

8. Ouch, I really feel for the entire area. It's my family's home away

12. Yikes
There used to be a fun fish camp in Wolf Bay called Wolf Bay Lodge or something like that. I enjoyed going there when visiting Gulf Shores. I hope it survived.

I'm glad you guys are OK. You know you can always come up to Bham and stay with the stuckinbush's if another hurricane hits! We have an extra room with a TV tuned to The Weather Channel!
