1. Why not?
It's not like they need to compete or anything.

2. Makes sense
Bush will mess this country up even more. There is little chance his brother would be electable in 08 given the mess. Thus send in Cheney, who they know will lose. Dem wins. Have a Dem inherit the mess. Run Jeb against a Dem who has inherited a mess. Wala we got Jeb as a 'hero' to clean it up.

Brilliant.

11. Don't think so.
They're not giving up one iota of power, including and especially the WH. Somebody besides Jeb will probably be run in 2008, however. An obvious attempt at establishing a * dynasty, during the final days of our pseudo democracy would be, well, unseemly.

4. I've always wondered why we tend to discard Cheney running in '08
as VP he is the heir apparent and the right wing likes him, if he gets through 8 years as VP without a serious heart attack, I could very well see him run for a term of his own. He will not want to so willingly give up the power.

5. I don't think..
.. he can do it. I really don't.

I don't think he's healthy enough for the rigors of campaigning, I don't think anyone likes him and I hope like hell they run him.

Make my day.

7. The Ole Greaseball said he would not run for President?
Isn't he on record saying he has no interest in running for president? And once he is done with this term as VP that's it for government service?

6. Cheney couldn't be elected in his own right
He'd be hammered on Halliburton, the White House secrecy, his illegal business deals with Iran and Iraq (under Saddam), Mary Cheney, Lynne's hypocrisy on lesbianism, you name it.....BTA, his boys own the cheat-o-matic machines and his thumb is on the scale.

10. That would be my dream....
Because Cheney doesn't have that folksy way about him. He's got all the charm of a fire ant mound.

12. Could be.
Of course I imagine not many people would vote for Cheney, but who cares? There is always DIEBOLD.
