Dean's "negative" press -- NPR's hourly report.
Edited on Sun Jan-18-04 11:20 PM by AP
The day before the first caucus. The last poll has Kerry and Edwards in first and second. Everyone agrees it's a four-way race for first place. Which candidates are mentioned on NPR?

Dean.

Only Dean.

And it wasn't negative.

4. Wow, that's a switch... but you may want to edit your title?
It is misleading, no?

6. A switch from what?
Last week someone claimed he got bad press on NPR and I listened to every story. Out of four, Dean mentioned positively in three and FEATURED in two. The that didn't mention him was one of those lame, no story/commentary, just audio clips of Edwards, Kucinich and one or two others.

Democrats don't get their news from Fox. They get it from NPR and NPR has been pushing Dean for months.

Mara Liasson LOVES Dean.

7. that is flat out false
Dean was called angry, bitter, and accused of lying. That is not postive.

10. When?
Show me the story when they did that.

What I heard was "Dean is tired. He's being atacked. He wants to move on to the next stage."

NO mention of what the attacks were and the spin is that this is just some bothersome small bump on the road to the inevitable "next stage" or nomination.

So, uhm, show me where I was wrong.

5. Good.
It should contribute even more to the anyone but Dean sentiment out there which grows by the minute.

8. No, it was just a true report on the overwhelming negative coverage
that's been undeservedly heaped upon Dean over the last few weeks.

Do you realize that you are actually trying to use a report on anti-Dean media bias to prove a pro-Dean media bias?

Doesn't that seem a bit over the top?

11. The myth of the negative press. Even that Scaiffe-funded study admitted
he was getting better press in December than ever before.
