Has anyone thought about these two liberal possibilities for '08?
I'm just curious to hear people's thoughts.

1) Russ Feingold. He's a great Senator and he tells the truth. Also very charismatic IMO. Supports health care for everyone--he was in favor of Wellstone's single-payer bill back in the mid-90s.

2) Martin O'Malley. Yes, I know he's inexperienced, but who the hell cares, I'll take someone with the right ideas over the status quo in a second. Like Guiliani he is a mayor, so it will be hard to say that he lacks the same qualifications as the civil rights violator from NYC. Perhaps I am biased here....O'Malley is an old Gary Hart ally, and I am a long-time supporter of Hart. But I think Martin O'Malley has the look of a president and I would like to see him run (and I know I am about to get 15 posts mocking the idea, LOL).

2. I'd definitely vote for Feingold
Congressional voting records are a scary thing in presidential elections, but I think he could definitely win. He's not rich, doesn't take PAC money, he's a midwesterner. And he voted against the Patriot Act. He would be awesome.

3. I wouldn't vote for Feingold in any primary
his so-called campaign finance bill did great damage to the Democratic party.
