A couple was walking the track and talking about how amazing and exciting it was that Edwards is in second place and has moved up so much. I wish I had been wearing my Edwards t-shirt.

Believe me, I thought it'd be a long time before I heard people praising Edwards in my community. I knew it would come, but not this soon.

He put one candidate's name in the subject line (there are now two) then states that his car was probably keyed for his Edwards sticker. But, of course, nothing should be read into that, nothing at all.

In case anyone cares about the honest truth:

I live somewhere where people think Edwards is conservative.

I have no idea WHO keyed my car.

The point of my story was: random people talking about Edwards in a place where everyone likes Dean and Kucinich and where many very passionate people have a passionate philosophical disagreement with Edwards -- which I think is based on a lack of information, which is slowly being replaced by information, which means more and more people are liking him.

I'm just trying to set the scene. I wasn't trying to impugn anyone.

I hope I cleared this up.

As for being too smart, I don't know. I think I was being too honest.

I understand that we now have to go out of our ways not to offend here.
